Viking Tactics VTAC Wide Padded Quick Adjust Hybrid Nylon Sling

I bought this Vtac sling and separately purchased their buttstock adapter for my Mini 14. This is a great padded quick-adjust sling that sets up quick, secure, and smoothly adjusts on the fly. Great stitching, metal buckles (the triglides are polymer), and I look forward to using the sling on my rifle for many years to come. I like the Vtac stuff, and all made in the US.

Ive been a loving fan of single point sling's since I can remember. The first alternative sling I bought was a 3 point sling and was disgusted with it, mainly because it was sold completely in pieces and you had to figure out how to put it together. Pain in the butt. I was nervous about this sling. I work Law Enforcement and all the gear I wear, just wasn't working with a single point sling, at all. So I began the search and found this V-Tac Sling. I FREAKING LOVE IT!! Came to my door READY TO GO. All I had to do was undo the ends, attach to rifle and secure the ends back. SUPER EASY. PLUS, they have super simple "How To" videos on their website, that also show you several different ways you can attach this to your rifle, regardless of the platform. I'm a bigger guy, and there is PLENTY of sling! And it is SUPER comfortable. HANDS DOWN, BEST SLING EVER. I will be replacing ALL of my single point's with a V-Tac. NOTE: Make sure you buy the upgraded sling with end covers. Thought this was the one, but it wasn't. Minor issue and did not bother me, but might as well get it if you can. Just a nice feature.

This is the only sling I use, it's perfect. Exactly adjustable to any body size. You can quickly secure it and release it with the quick adjustment strap. It's tough, and it's comfortable. I've bought these as gifts for a few friends and they all love the sling as much as I do.

This is a good sturdy two point sling - the adjustment instructions could be a little clearer for those not familiar with the retraction/release mechanism and overall length adjustment, however, the sling is well made and the pad is comfortable but is not too overly wide as many other padded slings are. I'm pleased with the sling but I did think that it was a touch pricey.

Love this sling so much i'm on sling number three; nut because i worn it out, because I wanted one for each gun :)If you use a QD buckle to attach, I recommend a 1" to keep it from sliding around. Actually any attachment method will look the cleanest if its for a 1" strap. It wont annoy everyone but it annoys me. But easily remedied with a UTG standard 1" QD mount.For anyone that was in the military you will be happy to see the adjustment buckle was taken right from the ruck sack strap. Very sturdy and easy to use. Bombproof! Sewing looks to be done very well and padding seems legit.

What’s not to like? This sling has been my favorite since opening the package. The padding is great and stitching is flawless. I’d purchase this again and will for my next build.

All-in-all, this was a great purchase.As others have pointed out, this thing is LONG. You'll need to take in a ton of slack to get a proper fit unless you're 350 LBS or Dolly Parton.Mine arrived in perfect condition with no fraying or webbing issues - it's made of some seriously tough stuff and the padding is a nice touch if I end up using it on a hunting rig. It spreads the weight evenly across my shoulder and doesn't slide too much.The pull-type "quick adjust" is intuitive and the releaser cam isn't too big, so avoiding accidental release seems easy enough. I love that function.I don't suggest cutting whatever slack you take in. Instead I'd recommend rolling it up and securing it with an elastic sleeve or tripled-up rubber band (whatever you want). If you wear a ton of thick layers or this gets slung over a pack, it can't hurt to have the extra material handy.
