PowerAccess Assist Full-Sized Well-Rounded Daily Use Multi-Tool | One-Handed Assisted Opening | 21 Tools, Black

I have had multi-tools from a variety of companies, Leatherman, Gerber, and even older SOG units. This one is definitely my favorite. The power assist feature is absolutely worth it. I can one hand flip open the straight edge knife as well as the serrated. Keep in mind though, those two tools can only be flipped open with one hand, in your right hand. If you have the tool in your left hand, the two saws are flippable with power assist. The tools in the middle come out nice and easy, not overly tight like some others. Most of the middle tools are pretty standard affair, but the 1/4 drive socket head is the real star. Insanely handy. I LOVE the SOG pliers. They have the geared mechanism that makes it a force multiplier vs standard plies. Really genius. When the pliers are folded up, there is also a hex driver hole, and there is a little magnet in there that keeps the bit retained. Works great with the included bits, as well as other bits I have tried. The cutters seem great, and the crimper is a nice bonus, I have actually used those much more than I thought I would. All in all, I love this unit. It's big but still easily pocketable. Checks all the right boxes. Plus a lifetime warranty!

This really is a good product. The SOG Poweraccess Assit MT is very sturdy and useful for many jobs. The metal finish is tough and durable. All the tools are well designed. The knife is VERY sharp. I really like the fact that when it is closed, it will hold any Apex hex bit in what turns out to be the back side of the pliers (and the hex receptical is magnetic). There is also a 1/4" socket drive tool. It comes with a set of Abex hex bits and a magnetic 1/4" square to 1/4" hex bit adapter. This makes this multi tool the most versatile I've ever used. If the included set doesn't have a bit you need, you can use any 1/4" hex bit you want. You're not limited to the included set. It is even possible to get replacement/additional tools and swap them out. It is a fiddly process, but if you have some mechanical aptitude and manual coordination, it shouldn't be too hard. However, in my case the first multi-tool I received was defective. Amazon's customer service was right on top of it and exchanged the product. I had the replacement the next day! The replacement was fine, hence the 5 stars. I really do like this multi-tool. I realize stuff happens in manufacturing and sometimes things slip through, but between SOG and Amazon, they made things right. Great Job Amazon Customer Service and SOG!!

It's a high quality tool and smooth to open thanks to the compound gear system. The assist feature is just average, Leatherman multitools work better

when I tell you i was hesitant on spending this kind of money on a multi tool, I'm not joking. I'm so very glad my hopes were not dashed with the quality of this thing. I use this multi tool every day at work (Im a welder). it has been dropped, stepped on, run over, you name it... and this thing is still smooth as butter. opens and closes perfectly; nice little *snick* every time the locking mechanism engages the tool you use. I love that I can open and close this thing with one hand. it fits in my pocket, and is honestly the first thing I reach for if I don't have exactly what I need at hand. I would say this is a perfect tool for the price I paid, and it exceeds my expectations in every way. it is quite functional in every way I could ask of it. it still surprises me what this multi-tool can be used for.

Warning this tool has grease on it. Just like you should do for long storage with any quality tool. Wipe the grease off, or it will get your little first time hands dirty. Heaven forbid you get grease on your hands, cupcake.

The SOG PowerAccess Assist has been a real lifesaver. I use it daily in the Army, at home, and even while camping. The assisted-opening blades and compound leverage pliers make tough tasks easy, and the magnetic bit driver is perfect for quick fixes. It’s rugged, reliable, and packed with tools without feeling bulky. It quickly replaced my old multitool and hasn’t let me down since.

The multi-tool has many built-in tools plus the bit-kit on the side sleeve that offers many more options. The biggest complaint I have is the assisted opening is weak and often times doesn't automatically lock the tool open; you have to manually lock it before using it. Not all the time, but enough to be a nuisance. I will say a pair of scissors would have bumped this up to top-tier status against most Leatherman models. The gut hook/cutter implement is fine but scissors are just more useful in day to day tasks. Being able to accept other bits with the drivers included is a nice feature. Tool steel is a bit soft but easily sharpened. Beware the black coating rubs off easily when first purchased so give it a good wipe down with a rag before using it or your hands will get smudged.

I have always been a Leatherman guy and have owned one for 20 years now. I have always wanted a SOG, but my Leatherman was so reliable, I didn't see the need. I finally decided to get a SOG after 20 years of Leatherman and I love it. The opening mechanism is light years ahead of Leatherman, I can't believe it. The blades are all sharp AF and the bits are all impressive and the locking mechanism is on par with Leatherman. I will alternate using my SOG and Leatherman. I can say that the SOG definitely surpassed my expectations and certainly rivals my Leatherman Charge, maybe even surpasses it just because of the opening mechanism. The cost is also way more affordable than my trusty Leatherman. Let's see if can last 20 years like my Leatherman that is still full of life.

Pros : Love the smooth action of the pliers! (And the package for the price - value for money). The pliers, although with a fine tip, seems solid. Nice kit (considering the bits are included). Impressed with how sharp the blades are. Time will tell how well the 5Cr15MoV steel will hold up. The stonewash looks really good. General finishing is good (at least the unit I got). Cons : Stiff "assist" out of the box, really have to work it. I found loosening the fasteners ever so slightly helps. Would have preferred a file and scissors though... With all the drivers and the seat belt cutter it should be possible. Looking forward to future iterations. Bottom line, great value for money. (I also own a Victorinox Swiss Tool Spirit X and a Leatherman Super Tool 300)

I received a defekt multi tool The assist is not working, also the build quality is subpar, or maybe I'm not writing it right. I expected it to be top quality tool. Still hoping to get a reply from the seller. Thank you

Muy buen corte de las pinzas , tambien el ceimpeo de terminales, buen filo, al brir las herramientas salen las del centro, no una a una pero me gusto, relacion costo beneficio la recomiendo

Multitool bastante resistente, la uso a diario en mi trabajo, el primer día corte cable de uso rudo de 3 polos calibre 10, mas de 40 cortes sin problema, el sistema que tiene de engranes hace que este tipo de cortes sea mucho mas sencillo de hacer, la navaja es muy filosa así como viene de fabrica, y los destornilladores funcionan como deben ser, en general es una gran herramienta a un excelente precio comparadas con otras marcas mucho mas costosas.
