THE BLACK PEARL(Large)

Well this is not suitable for new comers to these 3D kits, as there are some quite fiddly parts, also the instructions were in Chinese so a good understanding of the key icons would be a massive plus. This is the first kit I have had that had parts that were loose (not secured tight but can ‘jangle’). I really like the quality of the Piececool kits, they always feel like a high end product. I had made the Metal Earth version of this boat, and this model is far higher quality and far harder, so took longer and therefor, in my opinion, better value for money. Overall I would recommend this to anyone who has enjoyed some of the other offerings from Piececool.

I've just finished this model, as Piececool says it's difficult! Many small pieces, I used a pair of fine tweezers. It's small as well, 6.5 in X 7.5 in. I also used a magnifier, essential for Piececool models. The instructions are very precise, I advise reading a couple of times, I had to remove a piece and reshape. This is the 5th Piececool model I have done, it's as difficult as the Phoenix Coronet. The photos show before and after.

I bought the model ship for my husband. When I saw the size of the box I was a bit disappointed. This is why I have given it 4 stars because other than that the model looks great and with it being made of stainless steel it should last a long time. I would definitely recommend this ship to others and will definitely be ordering more of these models for him in the future. The sheets inside the box are very thin and the pieces inside are very small and fiddly I wouldn't recommend these models to children at all.

I was immediately drawn to this kit due to the level of detail and the fact it was a new model in the Piececool range. I would recommend the Piececool tools that can be purchased separately as they make it a lot easier to build the model. The level of detail is superb and once finished the Black Pearl looks fantastic. It takes concentration and time to complete things, but the effort is worth it. If you are looking for a new hobby and willing to invest the time, I can't recommend this kit enough.

I bought this (on request) as an extra for my husband this Christmas. Suffice it to say it wasn’t quite as expected. If this is a ‘large’ model I dread to think what the small look like. He’s had to buy a static magnifying glass to make any if it. You can see the hull and multiple cannons (a few mm tall !!!!). I’ve added plenty of photos do you can see before you buy. It might be exactly what you want, but a ‘large 3D puzzle’ it certainly isn’t and you’ll need extra tools to make it. Length 19cm and height 16.2cm - yeah right!!

Having enjoyed several other Piececool models, this was the first ship which I attempted. Equally satisfying. The ‘ropework’ required very gentle handling but the final model is very impressive, with striking contrast between the black/gold finish. Recommended.

Was a bit surprised about how small parts were. But my husband loved it.

Made of Tiny Metal Bits that break, have missing instructions and over all does not deserve to be bought. Gave up after mine broke to bits within the first few instructions, another bit fell into who knows where, not the floor, table, or me. Frustrating, Tedious and it will break with your best efforts to be gentle.

Pas pour les adultes! Les piece bienq trop petites de plus il nouq faut deux pince une coupante et une pour saisir les pieces a tordre.. De mon coté je suis decus de lachat
