Am I right in thinking the poke ball itself does not open?

How tall is the display case when open? I am looking to collect these and I want to see if the open display case will fit on my shelf

The display box is approximately 10 cm high (4 inches) when closed. If displaying with lid open, height is around 15 cm (6 inches). You will need around 7 inches clearance if wish to have Pokéball displayed sitting on top of display box.

The ring isn't in the box. I have checked. regarding previous question I can't respond to it?

The ring should be stored in battery compartment of the display box. Need small screwdriver to access.
