I run a version of Linux and while I love my AMD card, and despite having very good GPU compute benchmarks, it is a pain to get ROCM working and many CUDA programs do not support it directly or indirectly. I'm stuck using either OpenCL or PyTorch for ROCM.SO, I paid a bit to get this Nvidia card. I use it in parallel with my AMD card, where the AMD card is plugged into the monitor and it runs 2d and games, and the Nvidia card sits idle much of the time. However, any time I need to run any CUDA code, it's very easy to do so. This is working very well for almost everything. The only issue is that Davinci Resolve is a bit finicky about it until you change some things. Also, for such setup you need a modern, beefy PSU with two full PCI-E/GPU power connectors.So my review isn't really about playing games. For CUDA, this card is quite fast and it has a ton of memory, which is very useful for certain code. Some stuff I've used actually uses 8-10GB of memory, so the 12GB is perfect for me. The TDP is high at 170W but it never runs full-speed at the same time as my AMD GPU so it's fine. It's either/or.The specs are CUDA Cores: 3,584, RT Cores: 28, Tensor Cores: 112. On paper it's not the "fastest" Nvidia card in this class (has a bit fewer cores than some), but it has more memory than some comparably-priced cards which makes it overall more useful, to me anyway.When certain compute loads (like Sammieroto) are running on my CPU, they can take over an hour. On my RDNA2 AMD card, they took maybe 10 minutes (again, Pytorch ROCM isn't quite "there" yet). On this card, they take maybe 3-5 minutes or something. It's pretty amazing.

Looking at the specs, I liked the 3060 over the 4060 (even though the 4060 does get an extra ~10fps in most games) simply because I was hesitant to buy a card with less than a 192-bit memory interface. After some testing and witnessing this card turn my 8 year old i5-6500 into a complete bottleneck, I was pretty surprised with the results.To start, the OC edition will automatically bump up the core clock even past the advertised boost clock speeds as high as it's comfortable. For me, that meant 2000+ MHz out of the box. With MSI afterburner, I had the card running at 2200+ MHz in modern games like Forza Horizon 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2 without ever going above 67c.That's another thing, this is the first card I've ever had with a stock fan curve I actually don't mind. My last card's stock fan curve let it hit 83c, which had me using custom fan curves from extra programs like Precision X OC in the background of every single game. With this card, fans kick on at 55-60c and keep temps under 65c usually, unless I'm pushing the card at close to 100%, and quickly bring temps down to 40c before shutting off completely. Very quiet gaming, wether the fans are on or not actually.Upgrading from a 1060, the difference is pretty drastic. Most games easily hit 90-120fps on high/ultra settings at 1080p, with the exception of a few demanding titles (lookin' at you RDR2) and that's with my aging i5. I've played with upscaling in some games as well and still managed to keep a steady 60fps at bare minimum. I'll admit, I was skeptical about DLSS at first (Nvidia's choice to make the 4060 and 4070 a 128-bit card and claim that DLSS 3 would more than make up for it left a bad tast in my mouth) but it's been pretty nice so far, definitely not to be overlooked.At ~$280, this is a pretty good upgrade from the 1060 I spent $220 on almost 8 years ago. Should I have spent a little more for a 4060 or maybe a 3060ti? Maybe. For a "budget" build though, this card will definitely satisfy.

This is my daily driver for agentic workflows, drive it to 100% and the temps are still stable. It's not going to generate like a XX90 but it drives like a truck, low and slow till it gets there and yes, it gets there.Good for gaming too, can run basically everything at good frames with a little tinkering on highest end stuff.I'll be getting more of these.

UPDATE: After finally getting the video card. I was able to benchmark and get a great improvement over my 1060 6 gig. Also, the deault fan settings were to low and resting temps was in the 60c range. After ajdusting the fan speed to 80%, the GPU temps dropped about 19 degree. Also not sure why my directx 10 and 11 scores are below average, but dx9 and 12 are way above average. Also, overall benchmarks of my system increased from about 12000 to 14500. which is a decent improvement. And it is great all of the setting you can adjust, I feel like the feualt fan speed should be higher for normal users who dont want to have to twek the video card setting. Over a great card and upgrade.. I have very happy with the performance increase from my 1060 6ig. I have basically doubled a majority of FPS across the board. My normal benchmark with the 1060 was above 12000 and with the 3060 It is above 22000. great performance gains. Also, I noticed this card runs quite a bot hotter than my 1060. The default setings put the standard temp at idle to about 60 degree c. I increased th fan speed and Temps have gone down about 10 degrees at about 49. I do have to still optimize the air gflow in my case as this card has iincereased my overall temps in the systemOriginal order from Amesie was a Complete scam, received a lens cover instead of the card. The ups store said I was the second person in the past couple days with the same issue. At least Amazon is aware. Hopefully they take this seller down.

I've been using this card for a while now and it’s been fantastic. It handles everything I throw at it without any issues, and the performance jump from my old setup is night and day. It stays quiet and cool even when I'm gaming for hours, which is exactly what I wanted. Definitely a solid choice if you're looking to upgrade your rig without spending a fortune.

Ho comprato questa scheda video per la mia prima Building, associata con un processore ryzen 5 5600G e 16GB di RAM DDR4 3600MHz. Devo dire che mi trovo benissimo, posso giocare a ciò che voglio con la massima qualità, al momento ho giocato a God of war, fortnite, The forest, Sons of the forest, Skyrim, Way of the Hunter e Minecraft con alcune shaders molto pesanti. La scheda video reagisce molto bene pur giocando alla massima qualità tuttavia in alcuni giochi come fortnite e alcune shaders molto pesanti di Minecraft giocando alla massima qualità mi lagga, controllando dal task manager però ho capito che non è la scheda video che non ce la fa ma bensì la RAM, tanto che sto provvedendo a comprare altri 16Gb. AVVISO che però per utilizzarla dovete avere almeno 600/550W di alimentazione infatti io ho dovuto cambiare il mio vecchio alimentatore da 500W a 600W perché non riusciva ad alimentare bene la scheda video.
