The Sony FX3 is one of those cameras that instantly feels “made for video.” The image is clean, cinematic, and flexible In post, with excellent skin tones (especially if you like the more finished look straight out of camera). Low-light performance is a standout. Shots stay usable and detailed in situations where a lot of cameras start to fall apart. What really makes the FX3 shine is how practical it is: compact body, easy to rig, strong autofocus, and the built in cooling fan gives peace of mind for longer shoots. High frame rate 4k o-toons are great for smooth slow motion, and the overall workflow feels professional without being bulky. Cons:it’s an investment, media can get pricey, and if you’re expecting a hybrid photo/video camera, the stills side is clearly not the focus. Also, like many compact full-frame cameras, fast movement can show some rolling shutter depending on settings. Overall, if your priority is video first content (travel, events, doc-style, YouTube, brand work, short films), the FX3 is a powerhouse that’s easy to carry and delivers a premium look.

I tried a bunch of different cameras and lenses in order to find the perfect camera for live production / streaming. I needed a camera which is a) full frame b) can output clean 16:9 on hdmi or sdi c) the 16:9 output is coming from full sensor width read (not just a 1:1 read tiny crop from the middle of the sensor like other cameras, i'm looking at you BMDCC6K) d) great in low light The FX3 simply checks all these boxes out of the box, and even more. The colors, dynamic range, sharpness, everything out of the box was superb immediately, with very minimal tweaking. I couldn't get close to this particular look with any other cameras, even when I used the exact same lighting and lenses. Every camera has strengths and weaknesses, the FX3 is no exception. Other cameras might has better UI/OS (BMD), better price, or a different color science which might be preferred for others. For my particular use case - high quality live stream with full frame lens, low light - it's beyond perfect.

Decided to upgrade my primary video camera to the FX3 and I couldn't be happier. I've already had the chance to use it in multiple scenarios from a light weight run and gun shoot on my gimbal to a more fully rigged out set up for a TV shoot. Navigating to the settings I need is a breeze with the new menu setup. I can shoot faster and more efficiently than ever. The ability to shoot 4k at 60fps with no crop is awesome and 10bit 4:2:2 gives so much latitude in post. Also the picture I get straight out of camera with no editing or post-production is absolutely fantastic. This camera is also "Netflix Approved" which sounds great to clients. The features, picture, and small form factor make this a very formidable camera to own. If you are a videographer and considering whether or not to get this camera, I say just do it. You will not regret it.

Without a doubt this camera is everything I wanted it to be and could even go further to say it’s exceeded my anticipated expectations! Love all of its features including the built-in cooling system, recording lights, built-in stabilization, and more amazing components. Being that this was my first big purchase for a cinema line camera, I love the fact that it’s easy to learn your way around its controls and how it’s intended for filmmakers with having that extra option of shooting great photos! (Let’s not forget it’s exceptional low-light performance) Overall, great camera and worth its investment if you’re trying to upgrade your arsenal.

its actually a FX3A, but anyways, it works perfect. I love it.

Upgrading from the zv e10 after a ton of research, I was specifically looking for something with low light and a mechanical shutter to avoid led banding which the zve1 only had electronic. The menu system touch screen is a welcome improvement. The only con is that this camera and my a7c seem to both struggle with autofocus on all my sigma lenses, my 50mm gm doesn't have this issue at all. It was most noticeable sitting on a tripod with touch tracking locked on black surfaces. My zve10 did not have this issue at all. They also sent me the fx3a even though I ordered the older version so maybe they've run out

Ahora veo que la opción de comprarlo directamente en la tienda SONY OFICIAL hubiera sido la mejor opción. La atención de Amazon no me ha servido de nada, ellos se lavan las manos. Mi banco se lava las manos. Y a mi solo me queda la opción de regresar ellos producto y cancelar mi cuenta Amazon Busisnes. Pintaba muy bonito para ser real. Después de 8 años hoy me he llevado un fiasco con esta empresa.

BEWARE! the camera is recieved was second hand. Did not including instruction manuals or any documentation that a new one usually does. The peel off stickers from the handle was missing again proving it was not brand new. Also came with an off brand plug adaptor and cable once again showing it was not new. It also appears to be a grey import from hong kong because of the labels on it. You do NOT get a manufacturer warranty with grey imports. Now don't get me wrong I have purchased grey imports before but nothing at this price point. If I knew I was going to recieve a grey import I would have just purchased one from e infinity for cheaper and taken the risk. Not impressed. Also the box was very banged up

The FX3 is probably the best camera for anything video related. I’ve used this for fashion, product, landscape etc. having a dual iso of 800 & 12,800 is unmatched and will remain that way for a while. I love it

It took 3 attempts to buy this camera after another failed attempt at a local camera store. Amazon cancelled due to unusual account activity and needed ID to reopen my account and give me the go ahead. They cancelled again stating unauthorized account access! In the mean time the sale ended and it was $400 more! Finally after no less than half a dozen calls with ESL agents I got a supervisor who sorted it out. Days of stress and frustration but I got it at last and it’s a beauty. This was added to a Sony A7iv for more video intensive projects with higher frame rates and longer run times. Beautiful piece of kit!

No Amazon review can do this beast justice. Best Buy ever. Such an amazing camera. Love it. And bought it in the white Friday sale at an unbelievable price
