These are sturdy, hard plastic, absolutely fabulous for a 9oz cup. I didn't know it mattered what kind of plastic cup I used, we usually get the one that's available at the grocery store and it's always the same 2 or 3 brands. I tried these because the "other" 9 oz cups have a slightly rimmed edge - like a red Solo cup, BUT they constantly have liquid gathering under the rim from whatever drink you have in there. It causes drips and if its a thicker liquid it can "string" when you pull it away and its disgusting, I"ve seen it happen to others and it happens to me - YUK!!! there had to be another cup....I tried these, and they were about 40 cents more for the similar amount of cups and WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY. I can't belive I am even saying that! These have a straight edge, no stringing, no drips running down the side.This is ridiculously subjective, but if you love Coca Cola like me, maybe you'll understand - sometimes it's crisp and bubbly, and cold and wonderful and sometimes, its just coca Cola on ice. EVERYTIME I use these cups, its Crisp and bubbly and cold and perfect. I swear ITS the CUP! I say that because we have 2 kinds of glasses in our house and one I like to drink Coca Cola out of and the other I don't - because in one, it's perfection, crisp bubbly cold and perfect, in the other, its just coca cola on ice. Now I know its not just in glasses, it happens in plastic cups too! BTW - makes gingerale taste better too! LOLI love these cups! They are also much nicer looking with the swirl pattern, but that's a bonnus that doesn't matter much to me, its nice but I wouldn't buy them for the look unless it was for a party or something.

My sister hosts 2 huge dinner parties for the holidays - one on Christmas Eve and one on Christmas day, each a 5 course dinner with over 30 guests! I used to help with the dishes and then one year I asked if she would be offended to try these out instead. She was skeptical at first, but I convinced her as a trial. Now, she and I are both hooked. These plates are sturdy enough to serve pasta, steak, mashed potatoes, and any other hot dinner item you can imagine. They are just slightly lighter in weight than Corelle ware (which you would never throw away). They look really nice on a holiday dinner table, especially if you use a pretty tablecloth underneath. And the best part... after each course we do a lap around the table with a giant hefty bag and the table is cleared in 1 minute, with no dirty dishes! We also use the disposable premium flatware and throw that away too. Now, once dinner is served my sister and I don't have to spend all night in the kitchen washing dishes - we can sit at the table and socialize with the guests!

These were sturdy and worked well for a bridal shower. I'd buy these again.

Very nice. I purchased these for my wedding reception and they were nice for cocktails with no ice (e.g. cosmos). If you are having other drinks (e.g. soft drinks, vodka tonic, etc.), go with the larger 14 oz. size! They are a bit flimsy, and a couple of mine were cracked when I opened them. Nothing big, I still really liked them and would recommend them!

These are nice party cups. And even though it's plastic cut to look like crystal, it doesn't come across as tacky.They are definitely a hard and inflexible plastic, unlike most plastic cups which can handle a little squeeze.They came packaged well - not excessively so. None were cracked. The 14 ounce size is good for general party drinks, from lemonade to cocktails.I wouldn't expect to reuse these much. In my history with this brand, they do crack eventually.But if you're looking for a nice looking plastic cup for a more refined party - like a baby or bridal shower or a garden party outdoors - these are a really nice choice. Probably the best one you can make. So much nicer than the big red cups or even just the regular clear soft plastic.

When the hoards descend on your house (AKA having the Friends and Family over for Holidays/Special Occasions), one of the things you don't look forward to at the end is dishes.These Plastic tumblers fill the niche very nicely.- They aren't too large that people fill them up and then never drink what they've taken.- They aren't too small that people feel they haven't poured themselves something.- They are tumblers so the center of balance is low so they don't tip over very easily (bare in mind they are still plastic cups. I'm compairing to the traditional Dixie style that are narrower and taller, and fall over even empty).- They are fancier than "plain plastic". The clear vs. translucent allows you to see what is inside. Additionally the simulated "bevel cut" in the plastic makes them seem fancy enough for a holiday meal.The pictures do not do them justice since they are clear.Even the wife who was against plastic cups was won over when she saw them.Pairs nicely with the Masterpiece Plates/Bowls.

Bought these tumblers for my daughter's outdoor baby shower as I wanted something nicer than just regular plastic glasses, and they didn't disappoint. They arrived well packaged in their own box in stacks of 25 wrapped in plastic, each stack separated and protected with cardboard. That box was placed into the shipping box with padding and arrived in perfect condition. The glasses are attractive, not super strong, but definitely sturdy for their size and the 9 oz size was perfect for serving our guests strawberry lemonade and Bellinis.

Good quality plastic, rigid but not to the point where they'll crack too easily like the very cheap ones can. They also look and feel more quality than the very thin, flexible, flimsy plastic ones that I've purchase in the past. We used them for the grand opening of our art gallery & they were the perfect size to split a 12oz bottle of cider or beer without looking like we were skimping on people. They look, feel, & function about as high end as a plastic glass can. Very happy with the purchase.
