I wanted the original from the UK this was from somewhere else, but it didn’t taste bad. The color was OK.

I had a problem w breakage but that was resolved. As for HP sauce it’s worth it. Not too far from A-1 in favour, I developed a taste for this on my trips to Canada and now nothing else will do. Not too sweet or very tomatoe based. I have yet to see if this British grade is the same as Heinze US stuff. Even the Heinze is better. I hope it like the original pre-Heinze formula. I tell my family that this sauce caused Brexit, because I understand The Heinze Co was unwilling to make a seperate version to meet EU rules. Not sure if that is the case here, but it did change, Heinze bought L&P so maybe that produced the change. In any case I prefer over A1.

I've been hearing that brown sauce is essential for the authentic English breakfast experience. This is the brand most recommended. It's reasonibly priced for an import. After tasting it for the first time, my initial impression is that it taste like steak sauce, but it's much sweeter, very fruity, and it has a lot more vinegar than steak sauce. There are probably hints in the flavor I haven't noticed yet.This product is imported but shipped from Amazon. Less shipping time means it's less likely to get broken on the way. The bottles are glass.
