My son loves this hat, so much so that he wears it every day. Needless to say, it gets grimy pretty quickly. I was amazed at how well it cleans up. I don't know if the fabric is treated with something to make it soil resistant but when I wash it by hand, it comes out looking like new. It dries quickly too. The lighter color makes it very comfortable to wear in hot weather. A really good looking hat that is very well made.
