Crackling sound in recording
I bought for podcast recording and there is no single minute in my recording without crackling noise. While trying so many setting and buying new cables, changing my pc electricity plug, I lost the return window and I am stuck with this mic.

Worst Investment. Just a toy microphone
This microphone has a load of settings but there are two problems with it that renders it useless.The playback has crackling sound regardless of what settings you use.The recording has crackling sound regardless of what setting you use.The software and the hardware is seriously underpowered. Invest in pro-audio gear if you are an artist and want to record.

Quality mic from Presonus
Good solid construction. The whole unit is heavy enough to stand still on the desk. Basic functions are available from the mic itself. You don't need to install drivers to get it working but if you do you will get an access to more advanced features from the supplied UniversalControl software panel. When you register it with Presonus you get a lot of software for free including StudioOne Artist.It works with Windows and OSX.Quality of the sound is really good, and the voice sounds clear. Happy customer.
