Fluffy Monkey Drumming Blown Glass Christmas Ornament

I have several family members who have a “Thing” about monkeys; any kind of monkey gift or card is an assured hit, so ordering this BestPysanky 4" Monkey Playing Drums Glass Christmas Ornament was a pretty safe bet.I was really surprised that this little monkey ornament is much cuter in person than he is in the product description photographs, and even in the photos that I took! I never would have guessed that an inanimate object could be photogenic … or not.The brown areas that cover the monkey’s head, arms, and back are all a deep chocolate brown color and has a soft flocked texture.The red on the top of his cap, bow tie, suspenders and shoes is a vibrant ruby red color.The blue on his cap and pants is painted in a glowing pearlescent paint, as is the flesh color on his face and ears.There are colored micro-glitter accents painted on his bow tie, pants, and drum.I was surprised by the weight of this hollow glass ornament! I was expecting this hollow glass ornament to be very thin and fragile feeling, (like antique hand painted glass ornaments), but it doesn’t feel light as a feather. I weighed it on my digital kitchen scale and got a different weight than the weight posted in the product description. My scale read 1.30 oz (37grams), the product description says he weighs 7.7 ounces.I am very happy with the quality of this cute little Monkey Christmas Ornament, and tickled that he looks so much better in person than he does in the photos.PHOTOS: Occasionally Amazon fails to attach, or randomly removes pictures that have been uploaded with my reviews. This drumming money ornament exceeded my expectations. The detail is very nice and the added texture for the monkey fur put it over the top. Super cute!

Christmas gift

I opened the box and saw that the ornament was had a little metallic gold string attached to the top. I picked it up by the string to remove it from the box to show a friend and it immediately broke/came undone, and the ornament fell to the floor and broke beyond repair. Not happy at all!!!!! Complete waste.
