Easy to use, fits model 3 but there is an air gap
I did not have a problem using this shade. This is the third one I have purchased; the first I returned because it was not new and someone had opened it.It is easy to open for me. Fits okay in a Tesla Model 3. But there is some space between the shade and the windshield since it is not a perfect fit. May be trapping some hot air. I do notice the metal parts and the black interior get hot but the silver exterior is not so hot.Pretty good design where they put a center slit with velcro to accommodate the rearview mirror. However, it doesn’t work for all car designs.I use one in my inlaws late 2000s GS Lexus sedan and the rearview mirror does not accommodate the slit.

Fits as it should
I purchased one of these before and it recently broke so I went to replace it and I purchased a different one because it had the leg of it was able to bend instead of being straight. That was mistake. Because this one has a split at the top where the rearview mirror would go that has velcro that you can pull apart and wrap around through the mirror and they're cool it back into place so it doesn't move the other ones do not have that so this one is far better. However my suggestion that I don't see many people talking about is that you need to put some sort of protector over your dashboard when putting these up and taking them down because they can scratch up your dashboard. So I have a piece of fabric that I lay on top of my dashboard before I put it up that way when I put it up and I take it down it's not scratching up my dashboard anymore but it works very well and it does keep the temperature down in the car so I would definitely recommend this product.

Better than our last one
After spending a lot on a "perfect fit" sun shield from Weather Tech that was always a challenge to install, we tried an umbrella type and found it much easier to work with. In that case, it was a good idea poorly executed, and quickly fell apart. That led us to this one we bought on Amazon, and it has a much more durable constriction while still operating easily. Having a perfect fit isn't really necessary. This one easily covers 95% of the windshield.

Good but didn’t last
Fairly easy to unfold. It fit perfectly on my 2004 Honda Odyssey windshield. Covered almost 100% of the window. All was well until yesterday, 8/17/22, it broke. Less than two months after receiving it. The pole piece broke off from the center of the canopy. There is no way to reattach it. This would be a perfect product but I think they need to do a little redesign. Lost a star for craftsmanship.

Overall works good at keeping the sun out
It works good at keeping the sun out. Somewhat easy to open and put in place. It does have a velcro strap to wrap close once taken down which is helpful as it does not fit well in the pouch once it is open for the first time. I haven't had it long, so don't know about the quality on how long it will last without breaking. For the price it is worth a try.

It actually works
I bought this gadget on a whim because we have been fighting the fold up screens for a while and my partner has trouble twisting the screens to fold them. I was absolutely amazed how well this thing works. It’s easy to put up and it takes absolutely no room to store when it’s down. Just think of it as little collapsible umbrella and you’ve got the design

Awful I wish I could return it
My car was totaled after I bought this before I could use it. I just recently tried it ... it's horrible ... messes up the rear view mirror. Is not easy to use or open. It's too hard to use and takes too long. Forget it! I wish I could get my money back. Very disappointing. 😞

The Smallest size (32 x 57) fits the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee
UPDATED Review:I purchased this “Allstar Innovations BrellaShade” sun-shield back in May of 2022. It worked very well until September 21st 2023. So, that’s about 1 year and 4 months before it broke.(Please see “**The performance and Fit details” section below for those specifics)I gave it 3 Stars because I think more thought should’ve been given to the fact that the plastic tip would be exposed to a constant cycle of extreme heat during the day, followed by a cooling down at night. The plastic section in the center of the umbrella twisted and broke away from the extending/retracting handle, (which is metal). The center section that broke is imperative in the design and use of this shield. Therefore, once it was broken, the shield was entirely unusable. I was the only user of this shield and I never handled it abnormally rough. The plastic center piece is the part that all the umbrella’s ribs are linked to. That said, I think the amplified Tesas heat (as the sun passes through the windshield), simply weakened that plastic section from repeated heat-up/cool-down cycles.I must point out that for just under $20, I think it was worth the 16-month life span and I was about to buy another one. However, I’m a retired machinist and I decided to drill a hole through the center of the plastic part connected to the umbrella ribs. Then I drilled and tapped another hole in the end of the extending/retracting handle’s broken, mating plastic section. Then I reattached the center piece to the end of the handle with a stainless-steel screw. The umbrella shield is once again working just like new again but I have no idea for how long.I have no doubt that it’ll break again, and when it does, I’ll just buy a new one.Even though it broke after 16 months of use, I still do recommend this shield over the accordion style shields.**The performance and Fit details:I have a 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK Limited. After I measured the width and height of the windshield from the inside. When I ordered this sun shade, the ad offered 3 sizes and they suggested the “Large” size for the SUVs. I was sure that the recommended size for SUV's (Large) was way too big for that Jeep. So, I ordered the smallest size, which was 32” x 57” and found that the shield fit the width and length almost perfectly. The shield has a 'cut-out' formation for the rearview mirror and a hook & loop retainer strap to help keep it in place. As for opening and placing the shield, no problem. The fit was snug and perfectly up against the windshield end to end and top to bottom. It opens just like an umbrella and after you fit it in position, just bring the passenger and driver's side visors down to keep it in place. My 2022 Jeep GC has the 8.4 Uconnect system and I installed a high-quality screen protector, which protects the Jeep's Touchscreen from any possible scuffs by the handle of the shield, (yes, it does contact the screen a little). After I put the shield in place, I press the release for the first extension stop and retract the handle so it isn’t extended all the way down to the cup holders. The heat reflective qualities of the shield are excellent.I bought this one to replace the bulky accordion heat-shield that I used to have. The accordion style shield worked very well but it was large and bulky when it wasn’t in use. This “Allstar Innovations BrellaShade”folds up pretty much like an umbrella and fit's in the door's side-panel storage bin.Even though it broke after 16 months of use, I still do recommend this shield over the accordion style and as I said, for the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK Limited, the best size is the smallest size!Rich
