Very good quality. Maybe a little on the heavy side but very good.

Great spade, very strong, sturdy, and robust. Good heavy weight to it, but not so heavy as to be unmanageable. Both myself (5'4" woman) and my husband (6'3" man) can wield it comfortably. It's making light work of digging in new flowerbeds.

This is a heavy, well made, spade which is exactly what you would expect from JCB. If you want a lighter spade you need to look at cheaper products. My husband is more than happy with this spade, which undoubtedly will last a long time.

Bought as a gift for someone who regularly breaks spade handles , time will tell

This product might be a little more expensive than similar brands but really worth spending a bit more on. Very robust and worth every penny. This will likely last a lifetime.
