I just sent four boxes of this to my mother and aunt and also got myself a box to see if it was as delicious as it looked! I am pleased to say that this is warm comforting nourishment and perfect to send in a care package or to get for yourself to drink any time of the year, but especially in cold weather. This soup is easy to make in the microwave (open a package and add water) and is ready quickly so you don't have to wait too long for the noodles to cook. I just made myself a mug and used a large spoon to eat the soup and it was great! I waited a few minutes after microwaving to let the soup cool down a little. I feel so comforted and cared for like I was drinking soup my grandmother made me. I'm so glad I got this for my mother who is struggling with a cold at the moment and a cough too! The size of the soup is about 6 ounces or about 3/4 cup of liquid and noodles. There are little pieces of chicken here and there and maybe some vegetables like carrots but cut up very small so easy to eat. You get four packets per box which to me is a good value and economical. The taste is very flavorful and not overly salty. I think it is just perfect. I'm going to stock up on some more for the winter! Why did you pick this product vs others?: I first saw this at the grocery store and thought it’d be a good midday snack or lunch substitute. It sure was! Then, I saw it on clearance and the next time I went they were gone, so of course, I turned to Amazon. At first the price for one box was $4- ridiculous, as in the store they were about $2. Then the price reduced back to $2 here and so I’m snatching them up 2 boxes at a time. They’re so delicious, I add it to 12oz of hot water in my mug, stir, and warm it up in the microwave for about 45 more seconds because I like my soup hot. After that, the noodles are nice and tender too. It’s also low calorie and relatively low sodium for a soup. I’d highly recommend this!

I fix this cup-a-soup especially in cool or colder weather when I need a quick warm “something” but not necessarily a light meal. Need more than just the broth & noodles, I dump the dry soup packet in a small pot with the boiling water, turn to simmer, scramble an egg & slowly stream it into the pot for a soup similar to egg flower soup. I sometimes will add a few frozen young peas just for a bit of color & a little more nutrition. If I happen to have some shredded chicken, I’ll add that for a soup close to a light lunch. My only disappointment, like just about everything else grocery, is the cost. Once a very reasonable 25 cents a packet it now runs around 75 cents. I will buy when it is at a lower price so I never run out & have to pay the greater cost!
