O'Neill Men's Reactor USCG Life Vest

First pfd I've bought for use in a jet ski, fit great. Works great, bought my wife the female version. She loves it.

This is a nice comfortable, durable, and decently priced vest. The fitment seems to be a little on the large side which is fine by me. I have multiple vests made by O’Neill and years later, they’re still very durable

My husband and I live on the lake. After getting a new kayak we decided to finally get PFDs to be extra safe, but mostly to be able to float when getting out of the kayak and into the water. And if we ever go somewhere more dangerous obviously PFDs are necessary. After researching we saw this vest listed as a good choice for kayakers with plenty of space for arm movement and not too bulky on the back where you sit. My husband is 5'10 and 170ish pounds, almost 42 inch chest- the large fit perfectly. He tried it out on the paddle board with a kayak paddle and was able to paddle very easily. It fits snug but comfortable. I pushed him off the board into the water (he asked me to) and he was able to float and move much easier in the water. Neither of us are super strong swimmers but he feels much more comfortable now.

Update: I return the medium and got the large. Seemed to fit OK but when i went into the pool it was not tight enough and would float upwards towards my head. Reordered the medium. It's quite snug but it too floats up but not nearly as much. And it was fine while in the pool. So I'm my case, the size chart was correct. -------- Size chart said needed a medium which struck me as odd. I'm 6' 2" 170 lbs. 40" chest. I needed a large.

This hasn't been worn in the water yet. I will update once it has been. As of what I can review upon it's arrival is it seems like great quality, light weight, looks nice, and runs big. My teenage son usually wears a large in shirts but I went off the size chart for this and ordered him a medium. It is too big on him (he still wants to keep it because it's comfortable and looks good). I think it is a little pricey too.

Jacket is comfortable and sturdy! It’s approved for safety. It’s still in great shape being in salt water. Not rusted or falling a part. Great find and buy! Will purchase again in the future.

Haven’t had a chance to water test it yet but the materials feel nice. I was struggling with size when making the purchase so I thought I’d drop in a fitment review. I’m 6’ and 165lbs and picked up a medium. It’s not super snug but with the straps it shouldn’t press up to my ears in the water. I’ve read that neoprene does loosen up a bit when wet. All in all I’d say it fits fairly true to size if not a tiny bit large. If you want it super snug or are in between sizes I’d suggest going for the smaller option. For me it’s an upgrade from the foam core options I’ve had on the boat. Looks cool!

Was not disappointed with online purchase. This fit exactly as described. I am 6'1" average build for height. Feels comfortable to wear while sailing Hobie cat. Bought to replace old worn-out LL bean vest. Would recommend.
