Can I leave it inside the ice tray on my fridge?

Maybe at home but at a restaurant it’s a health code violation to leave in the ice bc it can spread bacteria

When using magnet on handle of the fridge does the shovel touch the side of the fridge?

Yes, the heel of the scoop and the part of the handle where the hole for hanging is will touch the surface if your using the magnet to hang it. The edge end that you push into the ice does not touch the surface.

I do not know the answer to that but I can tell you they are well made.

what are the dimensions in inches of this scoop?

My scoop is measuring about 3.5” at the widest point and 5.75” for the body of the scoop plus the handle.
