Great product, terrible packaging.
This is a great sharpening stone, but it ships in a terrible paper box. Like, not even cardboard. Naturally, mine got damaged during shipping. A little piece broke off. It still works well though.

Well worth it. Put a wet cloth underneath it.
8 have no complaints about this sharpening stone. I was cutting in years with hidden chicken-wore and it notched my axe pretty badly. After filing I got it to where it shaves better than any knife I've ever owned on this. Nothing but praise for it, just put a cloth underneath it to keep it from sliding across your bench if you don't own some sort of rubber pad.

The Axe Sharpener
I have a nerdy collection of fancy Japanese sharpening stones for my pocket and kitchen knives. But for axes and hatchets? This is what you want. Slap a few drops of mineral oil on it and start swirling. I only need a minute or two once or twice a month on the hatchet to keep my grilling wood chopped and ready for the grill.
