They definitely work. I brought two bottles home in my checked bag with very little padding on top, and the bottles were not broken. Love the fact that they're reusable. I've purchased the bubble-wrap one-use type in the past, and they worked just fine. However, these are more economical.

Among the best *reusable* bottle protectors on the market. There's a heavy plastic-like outer fabric lined with bubble wrap inside. There's a heavy duty zip- strip (not adhesive, more like a heavy duty resealable sandwich bag closure, and over that you roll it up like a dry bag with an additional hook-eye closure seal. I fit a large square (750ml) bottle of bombay sapphire in these, and it closed well, so it works for various shapes of bottles. Yes, these cost a little more than others, but these will hold up for hundreds of uses. The price is quite fair, and a superior product. So happy to have found these!

Went on a chartered cruise and use this wonderful invention to carry my wine back to the states via my check-in baggage. There's bubble wrap on the inside hugging your bottle(s) and the exterior is a really tough and durable plastic (industrial plastic). There are 3 layers of protection on the closure. There are 2-layers of a ziplock type closure, then you fold the end up to velcro seal the opening.8-hour trek via cruise and airplane and my bottles arrived home unscathed.Awesome!!

This is my second purchase of thie product. I loved the first set and now plan on taking more than three bottles of wine on a month-long trip.

This is a great product. I brought 3 large beer bottles to Oregon and returned to home with three Oregon beers. The only issue I had was the seal on one of the bottles wasn't so great; it leaked at the cap. The Bottle Protector stayed sealed though so my clothes and stuff were not covered with beer when I got home.

My family who are wine drinkers said these were great.
