Amazing stuff. I am glad I found it. I was watching "13 Hours" I saw a yellow lube can on the barracks table. I figured whatever they were using to go up to the roof and protect the Bengazi secret base had to be good so I searched around and Strike Hold seemed to be the closest-looking can that matched the one in the movie. You can only see the back of the aerosol can but you can tell it is yellow.So I ordered some Strike Hold to test out and this is what I found:The slight odor but goes away quickly. Strike Hold will lubricate anything you have, knives, guns, shine metal or plastic and more. I sent a bottle to a friend in a free state where he does all day weapons training to test it out and he was very impressed. I think this product is a kind of secret because the military seems to swear by it. It is made in America.Domestic use test:I took my bicycle that has been languishing and washed it and the chain really well with the Dawn PowerWash dish soap and let it dry. Then I gave the entire gear system a spray down with Strike Hold and let it sit overnight. Now the chain looks dry and not greasy at all and it shifts great without all the gook you get with other lubes.I used some on a micro cloth to see if it cleaned up the engine in my BMW and it did a great job there too.This lube is so much cleaner and attracts much less dirt in the field. It is like a super-infused Ballistol.The lube goes on wet and drys with a nano-coating that prevents decay in all environments and displaces water. Cleans, lubes and protects well. It wicks into most any place. My only coplaint is the smell of it but it goes away after a while.

I was introduced to StrikeHold my first deployment in Iraq. I was amazed at how well it cleaned our weapons and melts carbon build up. It also leaves a protective film better than anything I’ve ever used. Between a full military career and a life long shooter, I’ve tried almost all of them. I would compare the film left to that of a high quality automotive wax after it’s been buffed. Water beads off and dust is easily blows off. I introduced it to one of my LGS and they loved it. But their only complaint was that they didn’t like the smell. It definitely doesn’t have that classic #9 smell, but it isn’t horrible either. I personally don’t mind it at all. So unless you need your firearm to smell pretty (hang a little tree air freshener on it), get the small bottle and try it. You’ll be back for more. I also use it on my motorcycle windshield. It’s better than rainx and the bugs wipe off.

If you work with your hand you need Strikehold. 1000s of uses. It is the best rust buster on nuts and bolts on the planet. It’s protective properties are really good especially toward saltwater and as a moisture barrier. I live in Florida... so it gets tested. The protection lasts several months.Same goes for coating your shop tools and on construction sites. You can really say good bye to rust on your table saw. It goes a long way too.However, It keeps going up in price, and is substantially overpriced for a penetrating fluid. But it is best in its class. I do recommend it, but only use it where you really need it, use liquid wrench or the like everywhere else.

Works well fro cleaning and protecting guns. Only concern is the need to avoid skin contact and inhalation, as it contains tetrachloroethylene (aka - TCE, PERC). Best to use outdoors or with good ventilation and with gloves.

Why? Apart from being an excellent CLP...RE: Nano.... etc. .... I watched IRAQ Veteran 8888,....I put it my paper shredder, which had stopped and just. 2 squirts into the motor......... BINGO... another year... So useful.
