Found myself with some extra cash for the first time in decades and purchased some watches that I had always wanted. This link removal kit was just what was needed. I adjusted three watch bands in just a couple of hours. And that was only because I was distracted by texting or watching TV. It was a breeze. The only extra thing I needed was a bent-nose pair of forceps, which, since I'm a nurse, I had on hand. The forceps were needed to pull the pins out of the link. Otherwise, this had everything I needed. This is a good purchase.

Ordered last night, came in this morning, I used it as soon as it arrived. This kit is so helpful, is one of the things I’ll be grateful to keep. My son wanted to remove a few links of his new watch, we’ve tried following YouTube tutorials with a push pin and we almost ruined the links trying too hard. I followed the simple instructions and I was amazed to see how the rods came out like butter, no resistance, no force, simple and easy. One thing I learned from the YouTube tutorial was to follow the direction of the arrows on the back of the links. Once I finished with my son’s watch I used it on a couple other watches from my husband, a Michael Kors and a Ferragamo, which was a little trickier but I got it as well. This saved me a trip to the mall, and one less thing on the back of my mind since I said “I’ll just go to the mall” several times for the other 2 watches and I always forgot. Highly recommend.

Overall, the tool worked as intended and definitely made pulling links much easier and less frustrating compared to doing it by hand. The concept behind the design is solid, and it comes with a nice set of tools that cover what you need for the job. The only downside I noticed was with the push pins. They tend to bend pretty easily if everything isn’t perfectly lined up before applying pressure. A little more strength or durability in those pins would make a big difference in the overall quality and reliability of the tool. That said, once you get everything aligned correctly, it performs well and saves a lot of time. Great idea overall, and with a small improvement to the pins, this would be an excellent setup.

For the price it’s is hard to beat. Nothing feels cheap but if something breaks there are replacements that just screw on. Very simple to use where if you have a general knowledge of how to change links you can do it no problem.

This jeweler's watch repair kit was chosen from among so many similar collections of tools. I had one of the plastic watchband pin remover. Don't get the plastic ones. Those plastic ones are awful - avoid them. This kit is much better. The screw type watchband pin remover works well, especially compared with the old plastic one. Just be sure the pin is well-aligned and can pop out in the "slot" when you start turning the screw. This tool worked (on Mother's Day) to adjust a watch band on a new watch. It just worked every time and nothing broke like on the old plastic tool. Note: The box can be used to store the tools in their places, but it is thin paperboard with precut slots in foam. It works to store the tools for next time, but is not heavy material. Bottom line: This was a good "general purpose" watch repair kit with a good assortment of the tools I want and will use without giving me too many extra "tools" that I won't need or use. It does not have a two or three point watch back "unscrewer", but I don't need one. I don't need precision screwdrivers - I have accumulated plenty of them over the years. Look at what you really need, and buy the kit that has it. This kit was the right assortment of decent all metal tools for our needs.

There were fairly good tools included. The vice-like link cotter pin removal tool was ok, but only made of plastic cosmetically made to look like all metal. My Invicta watch requires a great deal of force to remove link pins. Part of the tool failed, bent twice. However, the replacement parts and other supplies and tools made it possible to complete the job. Other included tools were of very good quality.

Works great, better quality then I expected. Very easy to use.
