Q: Do you microwave the whole 3 pieces together? Or do you use only the ceramic bowl and lid then put it in the plastic bowl?

I use the whole 3-piece set inside the microwave, so I can put my hands anywhere on the outer plastic bowl without getting burned. One word of caution: Be careful when you open the lid because hot steam will come out. I always open the lid side away from my body, and I am careful about my fingers when the steam comes out.

Q: Can this be used to cook 1 or 2 servings of frozen vegetables on high?

Oh yes. I often put frozen veggies in it and microwave on high for as long as it takes. Maybe 3 to 4 minutes.

Q: What is the lid made of? Is it microwave safe?

The lid is made of ventilated microwaveable plastic. It is designed so that the moisture funnels back down to the white ceramic bowl. It is easily cleaned either by hand or on the top rack of my dishwasher. (I let it air dry, however)

Q: will thies bowels stane do thy wase clean?

They couldn't come out of the dishwasher more clean! We use them for anything that can be put into a bowl.
