Regency Ivy League Captain Chair with Casters, Burgundy

These were a gift to my parents. The burgundy color on the actual chair is more of a brown with a burgundy hue and the chair is cushier. My parents loved them so we kept them. They are nice and well made. Excellent lumbar support. A good buy for the $$. Also very simple to put together - took me about 90 minutes for all four (I lack fine motor skills and am very slow though..... overall extremely happy.

I wasn't expecting such high quality given the price point. I bought this chair for my 88-yr old father. He was having trouble pulling himself up to the dining table. His first comment was how comfortable it was, and how supportive it was for his back. I assembled the chair for him, and thought the process was straightforward and simple. This is a very well made, solid, and handsome chair.

Good chair, but I PAID $50 extra dollars for the WRONG CHAIR!!! I ORDERED WHEELS, & I can't afford (Nor have any transportation) to bring it back if i wanted to: maybe UPS Pickup, but that's money, time, & a runaround, so I just put it together anyway. VERY OLD BOX, like YEARS OLD!!! Chair design is excellent because it is the CLASSIC STYLE, & feels better than My just purchased LEEMTORIG - WHICH CAME WITH ITS WHEELS!!! I got SCREWED on this one because it was DOUBLE BOXED, & I couldn't immediately see the PICTURE on the box, really, till after it was open. I was using a butter knife to not damage anything!!! Kinda sucks because it isn't what I ordered & RETURNS are a MONUMENTAL TASK where i live!!!MADE IN CHINA.

I'm very impressed with the quality of these chairs. They came very well packaged and protected. Some reviews complained about the instructions, no they aren't pictures only, they're pics and text. Very easy, an 8 year old could do it. Someone complained about the holes no lining up, the instructions clearly state not to tighten the bolts until the chair is fully assembled, this allows you to line up the holes. There were a couple complaints about the castors but they seem fine to me. I bought the black chairs, the wood is a dark cherry and the vinyl is flat black. I bought a set of 4 and am very happy with them.

This was harder to put together than anticipated and the wheels don't move well when you are sitting in the chair. Maybe that's a feature and not a bug, but I like to roll around. That's one reason I bought the chair. Also, the burgundy looks black, not at all like the picture. I complained that I had gotten a black chair, and the company instantly sent a new chair, so customer service is good. But the new chair still looks like black to me. I kept the chair because it looks good, is the right weight for what I wanted, and moves fairly easily as long as you're not sitting in it.

For the money, this is a nice, solid chair. The man made "leather" that covers it is a little thin and I worry about how long it will hold up. The chair is also a little low and the casters are very hard on our hard wood floors. They don't appear like they are the kind that can be taken off and others with rubber rollers can replace them. Otherwise a nice chair...

This is a beautiful chair. Solid. Really like the rollers. It is kinda hard to sit on and takes time to put together. But overall I really like this chair.

This was the second purchase of this chair. Was previously used at a desk, this one is for a game table. We did have to purchase a chair pad if you are sitting all day. Easy to assemble.
