Epicure Anchovy Paste Puree 3x56g

Loved it! Great in Pa sta or even on toast, it’s really tasty

I bought this paste as I couldn't find anything in my local supermarket. It seems to be good and comes in tubes. Used it in my fried rice and turned out really tasty, although I do have to play around with the quantity I use as it was a little salty after using the whole tube.

This product should be in every serious cooks kitchen no mess no fuss just pop the lid and add a little squirt and you’ve got simply the BEST ready made seasoning which gives the most incredible background complexity that you just cannot put your finger on but it’s really incredible you’ve got to get some of this and no messing about trying to open tiny tins and end up throwing the remainder away there’s no better way in my opinion anyway and i like to think i know what I’m talking about

I first used this anchovy paste to flavour fish dishes & add taste to pizzas - then discovered how great it was on toast for breakfast or a quick snack. It is harder to find in supermarkets these days so I was pleased to find it on Amazon. The price has gone up over the past few years but it lasts (&keeps) well so is still good value.

this stuff is great in a salad dressing, really bloody good in some tuna mayo (drained tuna, half mayo, half kewpie mayo, little bit of this, diced pickled red peppers and some mozarella torn into little shreds fuh-ged-aboud-id). its also pretty damn good just licking a little bit off the back of your hand if, like me, you are a degenerate garbage person.

It does the job of an anchovy paste fine. I did find it to be at times a bit gritty and over salted.

L'excédent de sel masque le goût de l'anchois ! La pâte est difficile à délayer sauf dans de l'eau ou du vinaigre car elle est peu soluble et fait des "grumeaux". Produit décevant. Et sur l'emballage, en anglais il est écrit "à consommer sous 3 jours après ouverture. Peut-être une erreur ? En tout cas même si la pâte d'ancois est difiile à trouver: ce produit n'est pas satisfaisant à 23euros les 3 tubes de 56 gr. ! Je ferai un essai de "pâte maison" en partant de filets d'anchois à l'huile ! Et surtout avant d'ajouter du sel à votre sauce : goûtez AVANT !
