ALLWAY GT3 3-Piece Wood Graining Set

On a budget and wanting to change the wall in my kitchen I purchased medium density, fiber board, wainscoting that they use wall paneling. The problem is it was smooth and slick. Well with this wonderful tool I was able to put three different layers of paint on there before I finally got that wood look in that color that I arrived at looks amazing then I got so excited by this success I decided to do my stairs and it looks great too covers up all the imperfections on the stairs. I’m gonna be doing so much more now easy to use an unbelievable value. When you think in terms of all the money you’re saving when you can’t afford to buy actual wood items.

First off I would like to say how much I absolutely LOVE this paint brush. It can turn anything you paint into a beautiful looking wood with the wood grain paint set. It’s so amazing to see how much it looks like actual woods grain it turns out absolutely amazing. I don’t know how it looks so realistic. So if you’re looking to do a craft project then you should really try this set.

I purchased this kit to put some faux wood graining on some existing molding in the laundry room. The existing white hollow core doors had embossed wood grain, and I painted them like old barn wood and floated the wood grain color into the embossed surface last. They looked great. The existing molding was smooth painted wood, and since the doors now looked like ancient wood, I needed to do something to the molding. These tools did an adequate job, but they did not apply an even wood grain, because the molding was curved and the tools had flat surfaces. Since I was just doing distressed wood; exquisite detail was not required, so I used the curved wood graining tools to add character grain, then filled in around the character with the triangular tool, which is made of a flexible material I could flex to keep more of the teeth on the molding. Using the different spacing on each side allowed the graining to look more realistic. I attached a photo of the door that shows the embossed hollow core door and the molding. The molding was installed, so it was more difficult to paint than it would have been if the material was not already attached.The flat panels would be the easiest to grain, and if the surface was not on a wall, I expect that these tools could produce the appearance of a very nice finished wood grain. It would be more challenging to do furniture style finished wood grain on curved molding with these tools. For my project, these tools worked well.Clean these tools before the paint dries on them, or they are difficult to clean.

I was skeptical how well this would work but it's amazing, does look like wood and is ready to use. We do tons of displays and this will save a fortune on buying wood.

If you learn how to use these tools they are a great way to make metal or composite doors look like wood. Sadly I bought this kit for the largest of the blades and that one arrived broken. The handle connector on the back broke off. The good news is that I was still able to finish my door trim. The similar product sold at home stores has a softer silicone blade which is a bit easier to clean. The stiffness of this one was enough to scrape the under layer right off revealing putty marks. It took a bit more finesse than the soft version, and not having a handle made the wide blade harder to use but it still worked. Didn't make CoolToys TV, but for the price, worth a try.

Wanted to add a shiplap accent wall in my beachfront condo bathroom, but putting actual wood in a high-humidity, moisture-laden bathroom located on the high-humidity coastline of NC, is a mold disaster waiting to happen! So I opted to paint the wall and this tool set helped make the paint job look like the shiplap wall I wanted. Most people cannot tell it's a paint job when they first look at it...looks like actual wood planks on the wall. Very easy to use once you get the hang of it & they clean up nicely for further use. Worth the investment.

I bought these with a fair amount of skepticism, but was really happy with the results. It made my homemade plywood and pine bookshelf look just like oak. I watched a few videos first which really helped with the application. Very pleased!

Perfect. I'm redoing all my trim and doors but there was a few wood platforms I didn't want to replace. These tools saved a lot of time and money paired with retinque wood paint and stain. The painting technique is a lot different than regular painting but is not too hard to learn
