Ambi Cocoa Butter Cleansing Bar

I’m really confused by some of the negative reviews.I apologize for a very long review.I want to clear up some misinformation written in the negative reviews, that I feel could make people miss out on a product that could be very effective for them.First of all, this cleansing bar is NOT a replacement for the old discontinued Tone soap?That was made by the Dial corporation, it doesn’t say anywhere that this bar is related or comparable to Tone, in any way.People said this cleansing bar made them break out.It’s a “deeply moisturizing” product, made with cocoa butter. It’s for dry & combination skin, if you’re prone to break outs, products made with cocoa butter, probably aren’t your best choice.A couple reviews said it smells like chemicals. I’m not sure what cleansing bar they received, but the one that I received has a very light, pleasant fragrance, nothing close to chemicals.As for the fragrance people complained about, it does not say that it’s unscented so having a fragrance should not have been a surprise.Someone said it has talc in it, I did not see talc anywhere in the ingredients. Maybe it used to?Another person said that it does NOT contain cocoa butter,“Theobroma cacao (cocoa) seed butter"is clearly listed in the ingredients on the box.Speaking of the box, why do people give negative reviews for a product just because the box is dented or smashed, unless It’s a product that it supposed to be tightly sealed for safety.This is not a product that has a safety seal on it so it really doesn’t matter what condition the box is in, it’s not going to effect the cleansing bar in any way.Ok, now for MY review; I’ve been using this cleansing bar for a few days, so far I really like the way it makes my skin feel.First of all, it lathers nicely & rises off really well, my skin feels clean, with no residue left behind.AfterI showered, I purposely waited a little while before applying my lotion because I wanted to see how my skin felt after it was dry. It didn’t feel tight and/or itchy at all, like some soaps can make my skin feel, so that was a good thing.The scent is very light & pleasant, it’s not a heavy perfume that is irritating.It’s too soon to say whether the bar lasts a long time, or if it’s effective at evening out my skin tone, I’ll have to give an update in a few weeks/months.So far, I’m very pleased and I will probably continue buying it, even if it doesn’t even out my skin tone, I think It’s a good quality cleaning bar.

This is good but a little Drying. I Love the Cream. The Cream does get ride of brown spots.

I’ve been using Ambi products for decades. This cocoa bar smells delightful and makes my skin feels so soft. I usually have dry skin in the summer but using this bar all over really helps in keeping my skin from flaking. My son now uses it on his extra dry and eczema skin. We’ll see if it helps any.

This soap really does cleanse the skin without drying it out or irritating it. It’s wonderful for hyperpigmentation. I’m glad I found it on Amazon many stores have stop carrying the brand in preference of the extremely more expensive mega brands that do not acknowledge more melanated skin tones. Love this product

This is a soap that I have used since a young girl on and off throughout my life. I always come back to the soap. It is absolutely worth the money the time to do with it all that I need to for beautiful skin and never leaves my skin feeling dry or needing something more than what it promises to do

Nice product. I ordered it because my old soap TONE is no longer available.. The Ambi works as well as if not better..

Goes kinda quick so I suggest 2 but lathers great and leaves skin hella soft
