This has been a fantastic addition to my toolkit, especially for molding and trim sealing projects. ★★★★★ FIVE STARS FOREVER THIS TAPE IS PURPLE WHICH MEANS IT IS SMART. I buy the Scotch Delicate Surfaces Painters Tape 0.94 in x 6 and it is like a gentle hug but in rectangle form. It sticks but it does not scream. It holds but it does not bully. I put it on wall and wall says “thank you friend.” Very important: it is NOT for taping small animals. I try on stuffed giraffe and even he looks concerned. So do not tape hamster. Hamster is not a surface. Hamster is dreams. But for delicate paint? WOW. It come off like magician. No rip. No cry. No disaster archaeology of paint layers from 2004. Also purple makes me feel like scientist of kindness. I give 5 stars because it understands boundaries. If tape could go to therapy this one already did.

Perfect tape for banner making! It will NOT hold up my paper, but it holds on to the paper well and when I took it off, it just came off no problem and no ripping! To hang on the wall, first I put a layer of this tape and then a layer of stronger tape and it worked great! I will definitely buy again!

We recently had a garage sale, and this tape came in so handy and is easy to write on with a permanent marker. It's the most delicate tape you can buy and will not damage anything. It adheres best to hard, smooth surfaces, but can be convinced to kindof stick to fabrics. Either way, leaving this tape on for a long time will not result in any of the sticky residue being left on your items. It is a bit pricey, but Amazon does have the best price when it's marked down. I definitely recommend it!

I like this tape over the blue tape. It has less chance of pulling off the surface you apply it to, but ALL tape can do that if you apply it incorrectly. No matter what the label says, it's best to remove it the same day you apply it to reduce damage when removing it. I remove it about 2-3 hours after painting and it leaves a nice clean line without pulling up the fresh paint, or the surface underneath. A tip: just press down on the edge that will come in contact with the paint you're applying, that way it's easier to remove.

I will always keep this tape in my house. I let my son use it to tape up pictures on the wall, use it to make new creations, and we used it to paint stripes on a wall. There was some bleeding from the paint, even while using the most popular techniques to prevent it, but i think it was inevitable with our orange peel textured walls. I was prepared for touch ups. I appreciate that it hasn’t peeled off any paint on the walls. We have a new home, no extra layers of paint.

This tape works great for a variety of surfaces, like walls painted with flat paint, wood, or even paper. I have used it to tape walls and or Wood for painting or stenciling as well as paper cards for stenciling. It always works well as it does the job to block things as needed, but still comes off clean. For the most delicate paper surfaces, try sticking it to your clothing before placing it on the paper to avoid tearing up any paper. It is waterproof for painting and stenciling and if you are careful to press it down firmly, especially on the edges, it does a great job! It's also easy to rip off, which makes it very easy to use.

Ein spitzen Produkt. Hab es mir für den Bau meines Kanus gekauft, da hier viel mit Epoxyd gearbeitet wird. Das Ban ist sehr zu empfehlen. Auch ist es auf Zug sehr reißfest. Wäre der Preis deutlich besser, würde ich noch viel mehr bei der täglichen Arbeit verarbeiten.

I used this masking tape at various stages of a hobby build project of a Brian May Red Special guitar. This required the oak fretboard to be painted and I used Plasti-Kote gloss black aerosol based paint and masked off the bare mahogany wood of the main part of the neck with this blue 3M tape. I also used it when applying the delicate 0.6 mm thick marquetry veneer to the guitar body and to mask off the inner cavities of the guitar. I chose the delicate surface version to minimise the risk of ripping out parts of the wood grain. I'm pleased to say that this didn't happen so the tape did its job as advertised. I also used it again when fretting the guitar and when lacquering parts of the stained, unpainted surface.

Good tape. Bought for taping the edges on my watercolour paper. I haven’t yet tried to use the tape directly as is on the paper as I pressed them on my jeans repeatedly first just in case. But it removed very easily and didn’t rip my paper. I haven’t tried any other tape for this purpose.
