Special Effects Hair Dye -Wildflower Purple #24

Long-lasting purple dye with a blue base. Faded from bright violet to a silvery purple in four weeks after about eight washes. Does not have as much coverage or longevity as the SE pink dyes, but better than manic panic purples. I used a whole bottle and mixed it with a little conditioner just to cover all my hair, which is only a little past my collarbone but very thick. Just make sure you bleach your hair to a pale yellow; this will not work on darker yellow hair. No bleeding on sheets or pillows or towels either!

Love Special Effects dye! Make sure you bleach the part of your hair you want to dye first. Wash and dry your hair, then brush the Special Effects dye on and leave it for 30 minutes, rinse, then wait a few days before shampooing so it sets in better. Stays vivid for a few weeks then will fade to a pretty lavender. Have been using it for a year and really like it. Never dries out my hair.

This comes out as a blueish-purple when you first apply it to platinum hair and gradually washes out to a lavender purple with blue undertones. It fades to a really faint lavender after about 2 months of constant washing, but it keeps the purple color fairly vibrantly for about 2-3 months depending upon the frequency of your hair washing.

It's not as bright as I wanted. However my little sisters like it. It stays in for ab 2 weeks.

I love this color becauase, it is just awesome, I bleached my hair from natural black to blonde,left the color in for aboit 4-5 hours, washed it out with lukewarm water, because I just could'nt do cold water, and this color came out so pretty,a very bold bluish purple at first, then gradually fades to a very pretty lavendar color. When it comes back into stock, I will be buying this again.

The color was fun and vibrant, and lasted much longer than manic panic. I don't have my highlights anymore, but I will buy this again if I decide to put them back in.

I took this color (wildflower) to my salon to have it done since I didn't want to risk having purple splash marks all over my bathroom. My stylist bleached my hair and put the color in like she was supposed to. I believe we left it in like 30-45 minutes. the color turned out AMAZING, some parts looked blueish and others a very bright vibrant purple. The color stood out even when I wasn't in a bright room or in sunlight (usually when I dye my hair the color blends in with my dark hair unless I'm in bright light) I didn't wash my hair for like 2 1/2 days just to ensure that the color was set. I showered and made sure to wash my hair in cold water. Unfortunately when I got out of the shower I was already starting to see the bleached hair showing through :(. I don't know if maybe I need to leave the color in longer to really have it stick or what but I'm willing to try other colors just because the colors turned out so amazing. It worked for Sherri Dupree and I was hoping it would work for me :(

Favorite purple ever! It's very vibrant and beautiful. It doesn't smell funky like other dyes and it lasts a while. I've been mixing the dye with conditioner as a diy purple shampoo/toner and it leaves my hair a slight tint of lavender. It's so pretty is my point.
