Easy to install and works great!!
***Edit*** Added a Video demonstrating these. Also, after over a year these still work great and we have never had an issue with a single one even though theyโre installed on every cabinet we own. Still HIGHLY recommend. We recently bought some IKEA cabinets for our laundry room and they came with the soft close hinges. After using the cabinets we really wanted to get similar hinges for our kitchen. Our kitchen isn't IKEA. After looking around these were the best deal out there and had good reviews so I went had and bought a package of them. I was slightly disappointed when I opened the package and they were plastic that looked like metal. However, after installing the first one which took all of 1 minute, it worked so well I didn't care what they were made of. I looked around just to see prices on metal ones and they were quite a bit more expensive and not worth the extra money. These are also nice and small and since they are installed with just the spring push sticking out and the rest hidden in the cabinet, they are very discrete. My wife couldn't find them at first even though she knew they were there. So they aren't big and noticeable, you will probably never have anyone notice. Our neighbors just purchased these as well because their young daughter keeps slamming her fingers in the cabinet doors. So they are also great to help prevent fingers being smashed if you have little ones at the house. The instructions it comes with are straight forward. Just drill a 3/32 I believe pilot hole then screw it in and you're done. We had four doors that needed two per door. Even with 1 of these on the door it would not slam, it just didn't have the same catch and slow close as the smaller doors. So it didn't really NEED two but I wanted those doors to close like the rest. The screw adjustment on the back is very easy to adjust and makes a big difference. That adjustment is how our bigger doors could've used just one of these but I used two anyway. It also was good for our smaller lower cabinet doors to adjust it back to close easier as those doors aren't as big. We have 48" cabinets and all of our standard doors just used one and definitely don't need two. I would highly highly recommend these to anyone looking for that soft close on their doors. I wil be buying a few more to finish up the cabinets in our bathrooms as well as I find myself slamming those now forgetting they don't soft close!

Effective, inexpensive solution to the problem
So, I started looking at slow close replacement hinges for my traditional hidden hinges. My doors have the routed-out holes for the old ones, so I was hoping for a plug and play slow hinge that would solve the problem. Took pictures of my hinges, went to Lowes and started comparing, and I still wasn't sure. Then, on YouTube, I stumbled on these simple, piston driven devices at a fraction of the price. Checked out Amazon, and there they were and with rave reviews to boot. I ordered a pack of 25, installed them, and they worked perfectly... the wife reminded me about the linen cabinet doors in the hall, so I ordered a five-pack to finish the job. I could not be more pleased with the end result. Tip: use a 7/64 drill bit as opposed to the 3/32 recommended bit for your pilot hole. It makes the hidden screw head much easier to install, and it's just as tight. You want slow closing cabinet doors for practically just about any size door? Do yourself a favor. This the way to go.

Works great and easy to install!
I have a new build home and was a little disappointed that my cabinets didnโt have the soft close feature that I had in my previous apartment. I was looking to replacing the cabinets hinges for soft close hinges when I came across these soft close dampers! It was definitely a more affordable option and required less work than if I was replacing the hinges. The directions were easy to follow and installation was quick and easy. With the damper in place, I used a drill bit to drill a hole into the cabinet before using my rechargeable screwdriver to drill in the screw. I used all 25 dampers for all of the cabinet doors in my kitchen and bathroom upstairs. I only gave 4 stars review because 2 of the dampers didnโt produce a soft close no matter how I installed it (top or bottom of cabinet door) or how I adjusted the screw. When I close the door hard enough, the โslamโ is a little softer than without the damper but you almost canโt tell at all. I placed those two on the cabinet doors that we donโt use as often. Other than that, I am pleased with all my โsoft closeโ cabinet doors! No more cabinets slamming! A must buy if you want to upgrade your cabinets for less.

Silent cupboard now!
Our cupboards were so loud. We tried felt and plastic bubble bumpers and they didn't help at all. I bought new silent hinges which were expensive we didn't look forward to installation. They weren't the correct size so we are returning. We bought these lil dampers and I tested one behore installing all and they worked amazing! So easy to install. We needed only 1 per cupboard. You hold the damper to the corner and drill a pilot hole through the hole in the damper. Then we easily screwed it in with 1 screw. You can adjust how far away it starts to slow the door. I liked it adjusted so the screw was barely in. You can go to slam the door and it will still close softly and be silent. Great function for a great price. I have extras incase one broke but I won't be upset if I need to replace in since they were so affordable and work so well! I'm so happy with this purchase! A+

Pistons leak out oil from the housing
These dampers are metal looking, but are made of plastic. These are easy to install on the cabinets. However, be ready to have extras on hand because the pistons start leak out with oily substance after a few weeks. These dampers work only temporarily. You are better off buying the actual soft close hinges if you want a more permanent solution.

Works exactly as described
Easy install once you figure out the best way: Take a very sharp #2 pencil, hold the damper tight against the top and side of the cabinet (making certain that both flanges overlap the cabinet frame face). Take the pencil and scribe a line or circle inside the hole for the screw. WEAR a head light so you can see your mark inside the hole, determine EXACTLY where on your mark is the precise center and note it. Take a sharp pointed center punch (available on Amazonโฆor a sturdy sharp nail) I use a worn nail set which I filed to a sharp point. Hold the punch firmly precisely at the location of the hole center. Hammer it gently into the wood frame a few timesโฆuse this so the drill bit wonโt wander. Drill a straight shallow hole with a 3/32โ bit, then back it out and hold the drill at a 65ยฐ angle and slowly drill a 1/4โ deep hole. Then hold the damper tightly in place, triple check it aligns with the hole, firmly push in the provided screw (I first moisten the threads and drag them through a bar of soap, then simply squeeze the soap into the threads with your fingers), use an electric screwdriver (again on AmazonโฆI really like the SKIL unit, $19), and carefully and firmly screw in the screw. DO NOT over tighten, and finish tightening with a hand screwdriver. See how it worksโฆif the door doesnโt close all the way, loosen the adjuster on the back of the damper until it does. If the door slams, tighten the adjuster. I just finished installing these on 40 cabinet doors this morningโฆ the first one took me about 20 minutes, the last one took me less than 60 seconds, after I had climbed the learning curve and determined the process I just described. Fantastic product, works perfectly!

DO NOT BUY, JUNK
CHANGING RATING AGAIN: do not buy, the springs are not built to last. Find another seller. JUST CHANGED MY REVIEW: As much as I love them, they are a problem. Just after a few uses, the adapters lost their ability to keep the doors from slamming. Slowing each cabinet is starting to slam again. We have tweaked the adapters and still are not helping. I don't know if they are defective or if, over time, they just lose their resistance. Still trying to figure out how to tweak them. If you find another brand, you may be better off going with them since these do not last after only 2 weeks. I am very disappointed. I love these; they don't require too much work to install, but they have to be done right. They definitely help with the slamming of cabinet doors. They work great to keep them still and slowly close.

Outstanding Product!
I bought a couple of these from a big-box store and when they worked so well, bought a pack of 25 from Amazon. Yes, they are made of plastic, but completely solved our problem of noisy cabinets. Very easy to install and I would recommend trying different positions before screwing them into position. Only one was needed for even our tallest cabinets in the kitchen. My wife is extremely pleased which should tell you all you want to know about this product....

They work!
In our previous house we had soft closing cupboard doors in the kitchen, but in our new place no such thing! So we forgot they wasn't soft closing and BANG! Each time. I saw these and thought let's give em a go, soft closing doors once again, no more bangs! The best part is they are so easy to install, and you can adjust them.

Leaking on arrival
Garbage. One was already leaking upon arrival and the others seemed not far behind. They feel cheap. Returned immediately.

They dont work
Poor design so as you tighten it as instructions show it pivots then rips the screw out of the cabinetry. Cheap plastic construction and way overpriced.
