This is my second time buying Burt’s Bees Facial Cleansing Oil, and I’ll absolutely keep it in my rotation. It’s super gentle on my skin—no irritation, no greasy residue, and it melts away makeup (even stubborn mascara) like a dream. My face feels soft and clean afterward, not stripped or dry like with some foaming cleansers. But here’s the bonus: it works incredibly well for cleaning makeup brushes too! I had tried several brush cleansers before, but nothing has left them as soft and clean as this. A little goes a long way, and it breaks down built-up foundation and powders effortlessly. Smells great, feels luxurious, and serves double duty—what more could you ask for? Burt’s Bees nailed it with this one.

This is an oil based cleanser that comes with two different dispensing options. One is the pump type bottle which is convenient to place on the bathroom counter and have instantly ready for use. The other is a flip type opening cap that is nice for traveling. This cleanser is suggested for normal to dry skin types. Oily complexions or those with active acne might find it a little too oil rich. I have mature skin that tends to get drier in the winter with indoor heating and harsh winter winds. Foaming cleansers can be too harsh sometimes and strip my skin of moisture. Since this cleanser provides both coconut and argan oil it provides a little moisturizing. While this oil cleanser can be used to remove makeup I prefer to use micellar water on a cotton pad or a makeup tissue to remove some of my makeup first then dampen my face with water and massage the cleansing oil in. That way I don't have so much oily dissolved makeup to wash off. The cleanser can leave a slight residue too which I wipe off with a washcloth that has been wrung out in warm water. Dry skins might benefit from some oil residue I prefer clean skin so I can apply serum or a treatment after cleansing and the residue from cleanser doesn't interfere with it. Also, as with any cleanser there can be the potential for eye irritation, so until you know how your skin will react it might be best to avoid around the eye area. I do like that it leaves my skin softer after cleansing and appreciate that this cleanser contains no parabens or phthalates. I hope maybe some of this info helps.

I have very sensitive skin, and most over-the-counter face washes tend to be too harsh or drying for me. It has a very light, pleasant floral scent that isn’t overwhelming at all. Best of all, it’s affordable, which makes it easy to stick with. My skin feels clean, soft, and never irritated. Highly recommend for anyone with sensitive skin!

5 star product! 4 star packaging. Love this face wash. Works amazing on dry skin. Removed make up with ease, no overwhelming scent, everything you could want for a dry skin face wash! I’ve bought this a few times and one time came with a pump. It was an awful pump and product came out of every piece and out the top. However I loved the product so I repurchased thinking a new one with a new pump would fix it. But the new one did not come with a pump. I like the pump idea, maybe I just got a bad one?

🌟[ INGREDIENTS ] This is simply a very good oil cleanser. Two things that I always look for in an oil cleanser are nourishing natural oil and gentle surfactant, which pretty much describe the ingredients in this product. This cleanser contains a bunch of nourishing oils, like caprylic triglycerides (coconut-derived fatty acid), Crambe oil (high in omega-9 fatty acid), Argan oil, coconut oil, and sunflower seed oil. 🥥 I am usually not a fan of coconut oil in my skincare products because it is not very pore-friendly, but it’s not a big concern here since this is a wash-off product.. . 🌟 [PERFORMANCE] This cleansing oil melts away makeup and sunscreen beautifully. As you can see in the video, it easily dissolves two different types of concealers, brow wax, and lipstick. The oil emulsifies nicely when mixed with water. It leaves my skin nice and soft after rinsing with water without the feeling of tightness. . . 🌟 [IN MY ROUTINE] I use this product as the first step in my double cleanse routine, mainly to remove sunscreen residues (I don’t often wear makeup). Then I follow this up with a gentle water-based gel cleanser. I think this is a great first-cleanser for all skin types. Yes, even (and especially) for people with oily skin! (🙋🏻‍♂️) .. . 🌟 [QUICK TIP] I like to apply this oil cleanser on my face and neck and spend a minute or so to do a quick facial massage. I use my fingers to gently massage my t-zone area to loosen up the sebum buildups and blackhead.

Its best makeup removal I have purchased. It cleans so well and my face does not feel dry at all. Does not have strong scent and bonus is that it not very expensive.

I already own this face wash that I bought from a store locally. I was kicking myself in the butt when I realized that Amazon had it for less than half the price. Of course I ordered and this product is definitely worth a try. Even though it says it’s an oil Face wash, it works great for me and I live in a very humid place. If Hawaii can take it, it’s good anywhere.
