Good peas
My cockatiel loves these. They’re better quality and cheaper than the freeze dried food actually sold for birds (and they’re pretty tasty for humans too), so I’d definitely recommend them.

Good peas for freeze dried.
I liked the taste of these peas. They don’t have a fresh pea taste but to me they taste better than most canned peas. I have used them in several dishes and they have worked well every time. They are easy to use but adding them dry to dishes that have enough moisture and by soaking them in advance of cooking. My wife is not a fan of any peas so I always use them sparingly in dizziness she will eat. She has never complained. Not having to use a whole can makes them economical for us. Opening a bag of frozen peas and using them sparingly usually is not economical because they end up freezing together and the flavor tends to diminish. So we’re saving money and I can enjoy a snack of a bowl of peas or pea soup any time I want.

My little one doesn't know they are good for her...
Very yummy! I've been looking for dried peas (or as my daughter calls them "green balls") for a long time now. I used to be able to find them in my local grocery store, but now all we can find are the wasabi coated peas...my 5 year old does not like wasabi and neither do I. But these are quite lovely. We eat them right out of the jar. They are slightly sweet and very crunchy. I was super excited to find them here on Amazon, and while I'm not sure if I like the price, while searching I ran across several brands that were MUCH more expensive; which tells me this is the best price I'm going to find them at for now.We use them as a snack for my little one as she is very picky about eating her veggies. She won't eat a regular pea (says they are gross) but loves her "green balls" and was begging me for them as soon as I opened the package they came in. She doesn't even know they are good for her! Great alternative go-to for veggies and as a healthy snack for picky kids. Also good to add to salads for texture (but don't do it to far ahead as they will start to get soft), soups, stews, trail or snack mixes, or as camping/hiking food.

Great, but learning curve for use
These freeze dried peas are great! I gave 4/5 because the freeze drying process changes the texture a tiny bit and there is a learning curve cooking with them. But I am really enjoying. I ordered more things to try.I live and travel in my RV. I have LIMITED fridge space. This is an awesome alternative AND it is light! Perfect!

Very convenient
I got these to use with pasta salad, and I rehydrate them when I am cooking the pasta. I like this better than using frozen vegetables because they won't get frost-bitten if I don't use them all right away.

Isopod Approved
I likely don’t use this for the intended purpose, but my isopods love them!

Good for Cooking with, Not so Good for Snacking
Bought these for a long backpacking trip. They're a good addition to soups, stir-fries, other pre-made backpacking meals for some extra veggies in your diet. We bought more than we needed and decided to pack some for snacks - not a great idea. These peas are not salted or flavored or any way, which is perfect for cooking with (they won't overtake the flavor of the dish you're preparing) but they're pretty bland if you're eating them straight. They're still a healthy, lightweight snack, but you'll probably want to invest in some spices to go with them.
