I have tried many machine washing cleaners and after a few weeks the machine needs cleaning again. Oust says on the packet it will last for six months. As it is about four weeks since I have cleaned the machine I shall just have to wait and see if it does last six months. I can't wait to find out.

Does what it says on the box

I live in a hard water area and for daft technical reasons can't have a water softener. This stuff, used every 3-6 months, in dishwasher and washing machine keeps both in great condition. (I know that for a fact as when i take apart to service there is no hard water / muck damage.

Bought these for washer and dishwasher. Didn’t know you had to descale either but used once. Can’t tell really if there is a difference but both appliances still work after using the sachets. They are going to last 6 years if I use them eclecticism 6 months !!

I live in a very hard water area (300+ mg/l CaCO3) and have been using Calgon tablets with every wash for 10+ years with this washing machine.I recently purchased an endoscope and thought why not take a look at the washing machine's condition? The pictures were horrifying!So straight to amazon to look for the best descaler and purchased this 12 pack of Oust.After the first application, still considerable scale, although the heating elements were looking slightly better (see photo). After a second application, the scale is slowly receding, but still a considerable amount.I think I am going to have to use all 12 before I get the machine back in a good scale free condition. Would recommend, but expect to use multiple times to really remove any hidden build up of scale.
