Great!
Paired this with a mount lab 1 inch and medium size arm extension for my yamaha yzf r3. Took me three attempts to find what was going to work with my bike, and this is a great fit. Holds my samsung s25 ultra great with not vibration while on my bike.

The large size even works for standard iPhones (X - Now)
The company I work for uses RAM Mounts to hang accessories like computers and tablets on forklifts, so I’m aware of how versatile they are. I had a bunch of 1” components left over from doing various installs, so I decided to fit my service van with one to hold my phone. I used to use the iOttie ones, but the failure of the adhesive after 3 months on more recent ones is just unacceptable and put my device at risk of breaking. RAM makes various bases, I opted for the diamond shaped one. I disassembled the dash and used one of the vent covers as my mounting point. I used 5MM nuts / bolts with blue medium threadlocker. When deciding on a mount I went with the “large phone” size since my iPhone 15 Pro Max is pretty large. It also works fine for my iPhone 12 I use for work. It includes a tube of superglue for holding the rubber pads in place. The only thing I wish is that there was a way of locking the rotation of the mount.

RAM Mount System Great for Bike or Car + Future Proofed
I originally was looking for something just for my bike. I eventually came across the RAM Mount system. I blew it off at first because of cost and was looking just for a bike solution. But the more I looked at this vs. $10-25 bike-only units, I realized the real power of the modular approach. The cradle locks in my Samsung Galaxy S4 with a UAG case rock solid. I've been on dirt and paved roads on my bike - initially I was nervous but now I don't give it a second thought after a summer of riding. I'm not mountain or BMX biking over jumps or down hill courses, but for the average rider this is more than fine. My wife has had me order one for her bike now too.I got the U-Bolt for my bike with a 1 inch arm. I found this was more than enough to try various different positions until I settled on one. The ball joint system in general gives you a lot more positioning options than others solutions or cradles.I then got a their low profile suction cup for the car, which allows me to just undo one screw on the arm and move the whole cradle and arm to the car. It isn't like a quick snap in/out but unless you are completely lazy, it is not a big hassle. In fact, I'm thinking about getting a second cradle just for the car. But if you are cheap, then this moving it back and forth is easy.Getting the phone in and out of the cradle itself is even easier, partially on the bike. A little more challenging in my car but that is because of my Honda Civic 07's very deep dashboard. I'm getting a longer arm for the car for this very reason and I knew that might be the case even before I ordered. But was confident the modular system would allow me to customize as needed.Very solidly built, I feel I got my money's worth in materials alone. Long term looks promising but have to just wait and see how ist stands up over the years.I'm pretty confident I won't be getting a much larger phone than the S4's 5 inch screen as I feel something like the Note/fablet is too big for my pocket. Which is one thing I liked - this holds my case-less iPod Touch 5 and HTC 8S Windows phone just fine. I feel confident any future phone I might get will work with this. Note my Nexus 7 2013 will NOT fit in this (I'm a web developer so I have lots of gadgets). When I have my phone in the cradle, there is the ability to s*** (turn) the phone about 15 degrees. I have not noticed this being a problem on a bike or car vibration knocking it out of position. I've taken it on 25 mile rides over potholed roads and in 8 hour drives in the car without it moving. Some might consider it even a convenience. How big your phone is will impact this however. It is marked Made in USA, and as far as I can tell they do have manufacturing facilities in the US so it doesn't appear to be just designed in the USA and manufactured in China. I wish they would verify or make this more clear on their site (or Wiki).Overall, very happy with my purchase and I've already ordered more RAM products.

Warming to it... updated review
UPDATEIt's growing on me. I've added a star. I suppose it was unfair to compare it to the cradle it replaced (oem motorola), since that cradle was purpose built for my previous phone (sort of). The issue of it pushing my phone's buttons seems slightly diminished with a case on it (Droid Turbo in a Diztronic TPU case), but perhaps I've just learned to mount the phone low in the cradle. Mounting and dismounting my phone is becoming second nature, but it still requires two hands, no way around it.For my wireless charging idea, I ordered - then canceled a Powerbot PB1020 puck shaped charger. The product image with dimensions labeled shows 1/8" thick, another part of the description says 9.8mm, and yet another, .5" thick. I tend to believe the thickest one given the apparent thickness in the pictures. I believe that would be a little thick. I've ordered the Anker Ultra-Slim charging coil, however it looks like the diameter of it might be an issue, and placement of the phone over the coil could as well. I'll update this review with my findings.--------- Original review below -----------Every other Ram product I've used has been excellent. This one just irks me. The build quality is fine, but the design I find troublesome. Sure it holds my phone (Droid Turbo) securely, but it always seems to find either the power button or the volume button, unless I position my phone awkwardly low in the mount. It also takes two hands to mount and remove the phone. This is also awkward given it's position to the right and behind my steering wheel.I will admit that my experience is tainted by the awesomeness of my previous cradle. For my last phone (Droid Razr Maxx), I had a Motorola cradle that provided power, triggered driving mode when the phone was inserted, and operated one-handed. I think that is my primary hang-up with the RAM X-Grip- the two hand thing. Obviously it isn't a glove fit for MY phone (neither was the Motorola cradle, it was a close-fit for another model, and I "adjusted" the fit for my phone with a case with a heat gun). I obviously can't ding this mount for not triggering driving mode, as not only would that be an unreasonable expectation, but my new phone doesn't even have the same driving mode feature). As for power, well that is one of the reasons I bought the Turbo- Qi wireless charging. I bought this because, well it is a Ram product, and it looks like there's room for a Qi coil to be added to the center. I'll try it. If it works, it may just change my feelings about this mount. If Ram reads these reviews- I could see this type of mount working better for tablets. Given the common side button location on phones, this application is likely to frustrate folks. For car mounting, I would encourage you to develop a cradle that can be adapted for Qi charging, adjusts for phones from iphone 5 size up to Note 4 / Nexus 6 / iPHone 6 Plus "phablet" size (with a case), and operates easily one-handed. If you could produce such a product with your usual build quality, I think it would rule them all!One other suggestion- it would be nice if it had or could be modified to use the same little portrait / landscape swivel disk they offer for the tab-tight tablet cradles.
