Skar Audio VD-12 D2 12" 800W Max Power Dual 2 Ohm Shallow Mount Car Subwoofer

Installed in a Skar vented box with a 500W skar amp. It plays LOUD, low frequencies, and surprisingly even volume across 30-80 hz. This sub will piss your neighbors off with the output. Not the cleanest sound quality sub you can get but a smoking deal at the price point. It's well built for a budget sub.

I'll admit I'm not an audiophile, for my first build I went with this subwoofer and it will rattle the heck out of my car when its turned up. I'll call that a success!

Skar is definitely the best bang for your buck! I got a cheap box for it off amazon and a skar amp for it and she sounds good in my single cab 1980 ford f150! I have a pioneeer deck in it with Kenwood speakers. She don’t like the super lows but it’ll get some good lows still, overall I’m very impressed with it

When buying used or pre-owned know there could be issues, unfortunately I had one of my 2 speakers go out very quick and I am currently waiting for a replacement.

Super Strong and Really loud. Running a 600 Alpine Amp and handles the power.

I bought 3 of these and built a custom enclosure and put them in a 95 single cab f250. Out of all the shallow mount subs i have had in that truck these are by far the loudest ones. They are all powered by a 2500 watt amp. They are built to last. The only negative thing i can think of is that the mounting holes in the metal and rubber didn't line up perfect when screwing them to the box but it's still not that bug of a deal you can get all the screws in pretty easy. I won't buy anything besides skar from now on

This subwoofer running at 500 rms absolutely pounds small and slim but it really has some power to it, I'm very happyb with it.

I really cannot review the sub because despite Amazon "recommending" two of these subs paired with a custom fit to my vehicle SKAR sub box, it didn't work. This subwoofer (though it says shallow mount) does not fit in the SKAR 12" dual sub box designed for the Jeep Gladiator. The sub is way too deep at 4.92 inches. It will not seat "sealed" on top of the box. There is about a 1/2" gap on the left side sub and 3/4" gap on the right side sub. Also, the rubber surround sticks up so far that the seat (when it's down) will touch the sub preventing it from playing. Just giving you a heads up to avoid the hassle. These were both returned and two 12 inch Pioneer subs at 3.43" depth (over 1 1/2 inches shallower) have been ordered to see if they will fit.

This thing is a beast for a shallow sub. Have it in the Skar ported single box and it is as loud and hard hitting as my two tens that I had before. It is actually pretty good for SQL as well which surprised me.

Used subs for 3 months and they popped. Stick to quality brands like alpine, pioneer, Rockford or JL audio 👎🏽. Seller only provides 90 days and is not an authorized Skar audio dealer so Skar audio will not accept any warranty on these items.
