Already have one Ruffwear harness, bought this for the latest member of the family. Takes some time to get it to fit just right, especially with a GSDxHusky who’s 14 months old. Once done it works well. The pockets are handy for the poo-bags and probably other stuff in the future.It’s not cheap, but if it’s good as the other one it will last a while, and it’s pretty much escape proof.

We've only used it for a few days, but my Lab seems very comfortable in it and doesn't make the usual fuss about putting his (old) harness on. Good padding and seems very comfortable, it doesn't restrict him in any way when we're out on walks/runs, or most importantly when chucking his ball for fetch!In general I like the design philosophy that everything you'll need is built into the harness, rather than being modular, like other brands. For instance, you get a back and a front strap lead attachment point, great if your dog is a bit pully in the latter case. Both are very sturdy and metal/reinforced in construction. So, yes, they are relatively expensive, but ultimately no more so than a modular system, and in my opinion entirely worth the price.Bags are a good size for spare lead, tracker, pick-up bags, etc.., and very streamlined - you can fit a lot in without them poking out. Minor issue - I would have liked to see more reflective trim on the sides around the bags, not just on the chest strap, but I guess this is balanced by the fact you can get a safety light (for which there is a small attachment point built into the harness).I don't remember reading it in the description, but they also appear to be water resistant (perhaps I just didn't spot this), and, with my Lab having chucked himself in a vast muddy pond on his first walk out with it, I can say they clean up and dry out relatively easily and quickly. I will likely have expert knowledge in this area before long.If you're looking for a good general purpose harness with a bit of storage for spares, this harness is an excellent choice.

The media could not be loaded.  Brought for my weimaraner for our long hikes. He has no problem wearing it. Fits very well. Great colour. Worn when weather is hot or cold. Keeps his poop bags in the side pockets.I would recommend it.

This was purchased to assist lifting my elderly 10kg doodle up and down stairwells where we live. It works a treat and seems built to last. Just a very very small point, would have prefered no pocket option as not required and make him look podgy (which he isnt). Still a great product regardless of this.So thank you Ruffwear!!

Looks great on my vizsla. He hates the rain but this protects him a bit. Prefer the second under belly clip which makes it so much more secure. It's a bit expensive, but I would purchase again.

Excellent bit of kit, wish I hadn't bothered trying alternative brands. Fits like a glove and stays put unlike others. Good size pockets for carrying essentials for mountain climbing I.e. 1st aid kit, poop bags & snacks. And it still looks like new after several hikes in all weathers. Others I've used have frayed & torn on their first outing. Ruffwear never fails!

I have six rescue dogs all shapes and sizes… my latest treasure lost a front leg in romania. He has two ruffwear harnesses and this one is best by far as it fits and supports well and the handle works well when his head strong moods take control and we have to “ suitcase” walk him. The rest of the pack have virtually every colour and every size of ruffwear harnesses. You get what you pay for and to get the best harness for your dogs’ well being and safety one has to pay for the quality.Jill Bone… Cornwall

Lovely harness but Stitching coming away on handle for price of this harness that's not good , poorly made

We just got a new dog and needed a new harness, this one is very nice, its durable and seems more comfortable on our dog. I like that the underneath looks like a turtle shell and seems like it helps with the stability. We got bright red because we want to start taking our dog on hikes so he may be more visible (like a child who goes swimming should have bright colors in the pool to make them more visible) we wanted to make sure he would be too. Its nice because at night you can also still see him, though I feel like it would be even better if there were reflector panels or details on it. The zippers on the side are a little smaller than we expected though we understand we don’t want him carrying too much. I think it was a good value in money. So far its been good quality.

Nice harness for the dog, has stood up to multiple hikes and overnight trips. I have a 2 year old spring spaniel who is a little small for the breed and the small size fits her perfect. Was able to fit 2 days worth of food for her in the pockets easily, could have probably fit 3 days if I didn’t vacuum pack the food. Inside of pockets stayed surprisingly dry when she went for a swim when we got to camp, before I could take the harness off. Also held up well to multiple back rolling sessions in patches of icy snow.Overall happy with the purchase, if I had a larger dog I would probably get the other version with the larger pockets, but this one suites her perfect.

I have a bad walker who constantly escapes all harnesses I've got her. But this one with the third strap is a perfect solution. No matter the tantrum she throws, she can't squirm out.The overall quality is really impressive. The material feels good and is super sturdy. My pup often takes her anger out on leashes and harnesses when she can't have her way and she hasn't made a dent in this one. And whether I front hook the lead or use the back hook, I don't have to worry her struggles will rip the hardware off the harness. And trust me, at 5 months and about 65lb she's trying very hard to decide when and how we walk. Improvement is slow but steady, and with this harness I feel like she's both secure and comfortable so I can really focus on training her to hopefully be good by the time she gets to her full size.

La taille L-Xl convient bien pour mon chien de 38kg qui n'a pas encore tout à fait sa taille adulte. Le harnais n'a pas l'air de gêner le chien.Reste à le mettre un peu à l'épreuve en sortie et portage.
