19 August 2021:1) the handle is hollow tube alloy2) the 'hanging hole' at the far end of the handle is a walled cut-out - it has sealed, internal 'sides' to the cut-out, so handle is 'sealed' other than this:3) at the other end - the body end - of the handle is a tiny hole drilled in the underside of the handle. I imagine this is for expansion and release of air in the tube handle other wise it would pressurize and explode.Water getting into handle has never occurred with my Tower T800033 Sauté Pan because it is a sealed tube other than the tiny drilled expansion hole on underside. Mags, on 12 November 2020, wrote, "...it has a solid handle - ...". The handle is hollow tube but hanging hole at far end has internal moulded walls.I bought my pan 24 Jul 2021. I have used it many times. Always hand washed. Before first use, I hand washed it, hand dried it, drizzled liquid pure butter ghee (does not burn as easily as olive or vegetable oil, when heated) onto internal surfaces (walls and base), heated it on gas hob to smoking, let it cool to air, wiped it clean internally using paper kitchen towel. All this was probably OTT and unnecessary. This sauté pan is soo useful and easy to use. Internal depth of vertical sides to top rim of body is 76mm (using ruler to span top rim width and flexible steel rule to measure ruler edge to internal base). I chose this model because:1) handle on top is 'D' ring not knob - I find D-ring easier to grip with oven glove2) handle is all metal, not neoprene or synthetic polymer: will withstand oven heat and grill-rack heat3) lid and body handles have metal rivet fixings - I have seen many cheaper pans with detached broken handles at handle-body union4) internal diameter at rim is 278mm so plenty of room to move food around5) side is vertical - easier to use and move food around: because of vertical side, I have never tried the '45-degree terminal flick' of horizontal pan movement as can be achieved using frying pan with slanting sides, this deft flick so often seen on TV by Food Channel chefs.6) ten-year guarantee merely by registering with Tower7) I have several Tower kitchen utensils and gadgets, both manual and electric. All have been unfailing in frequent use.//-end-

Better than one two long-haired motorcycle cooks put their name to...
A family of six need a good, big pan.Kids want size: teenage boys seem to never stop eating.Dad & Mum want easy to clean and no warping.Great for Pasta dishes when pasta is to be added to the sauce and you wonder if your pan is big enough. Also copes with Dad's chilli, slow and low cooking on the hob without sticking and ruining the flavour. We had another, similar pan: something to do with bikers, hair and cooking, which cost more and warped so badly it would dance across the hob.Buy this instead!

Superb, new go to pan. Induction and gas, then in the oven
PROS: superbly made and nicely proportioned - I can fry on the hob then put it under the grill or in the oven without the handle being a problem. The non-stick coating is excellent and shows no signs of wear after lots of use, including with the odd errant non-silicone utensil. It heats up readily and evenly on both gas and induction - I’ve even used it in the bbq. It remains perfectly flat without any distortion unlike some pans where the oil pools around the edges. Clean up is a cinch as nothing sticks whatsoever and it still looks good as new.CONS: absolutely noneI’ll update on longetivity in due course, but not expecting any issues - it’s been a great purchase. If this review was useful, I would be grateful if you clicked ‘Helpful’. Thanks

Recieved 2, both damaged in the box. Do not buy!!! Save yourself the run around of returning them!!!
I wouldn't know how durable this pan is or how easy to clean it is because both pans I recieved were dented in the box, the first so badly the lid wouldn't even fit. Obviously this has happened at the manufacturer and send out that way as the packaging showed no hint of the damage inside on both pans. Very disappointed as I've been trying to find something like this for a while now and I love the design and the dual use etc. Sadly after recieving both items damaged and having to run around returning both I've requested a refund rather than chance number 3 will be ok.

Generally very nice pans
In general, these are a nice set of pans and a good-quality feel to them. The first arrived dented but I ordered a replacement that arrived the next day.The only downside is that, as others have pointed out, the saucepan bases aren’t completely flat. The doesn’t seem to affect the bigger pans and they still heat up very quickly, but the smaller pan only works on my induction hob when it’s at least half full of water - maybe because it doesn’t make enough contact? Not sure.Apart from that though, they’re very nice with good non-stick and easy to clean.Do watch the price though - I’ve watched it for the last week and it’s fluctuated between £68 and £105!! I bought mine for £90 (it then dropped to £68 after!).
