A very good printer
My lovely old canon gave up after 16 years of hard work this new one seems to be just as good although I haven’t used it that much yet, it seems ok. It came with a set of canon inks and when they run out I will be using copy replacements as the old canon went very well on them for 10 years

Adequate
Print quality is OK. We've had Canon pixma printers before and I'm sure they were better but it's fine for text and CAD drawing prints. Not impressed with the scan function but it's not going to get used that much. One press copy function is OK when using text/letters but is basically scan & print, so photos aren't great. Neat good looking copier and set up wasn't too stressful.Overall, we've had better Canon printers.

A good all rounder
Having read the reviews I was a bit unsure if I had bought the right machine. Having upgraded from another Canon PIXMA, I actually found the set up process a doddle. It really is quite straightforward. The print cartridges clip in but make sure you hear a click when you press the cartridge into position. The next thing to do is download and install the Canon Print app on your mobile. Turn on the printer. After clicking the Agree buttons, the app looks for the printer. Click okay. The app automatically then identifies the WiFi router. Enter the passcode for the router on your phone. Aside from tweaking your personal preferences on the printer, you're ready to go.Some people have found the digital screen on the right hand side of the printer as being too small. I must admit, sometimes I had to squint to read what the screen said. But actually, it is quite intuitive and there really isn't anything wrong with it. I've not had a go with the QR button yet so I'm not sure whether it's a necessary gimmick.Would I recommend this 3-in-1 printer? Absolutely yes. I think it's a decent halfway between the heavy-duty office workhorses and the low end home printers. A good all rounder.

Just the job
To get a printer that is just a printer with no other bells and whistles is impossible, but I suppose that this one is acceptable even with the extras. I will be very unlikely to use them, I have a better scanner and copier, but the printer has already proved its worth. Not the fastest or quietist of beasts, but that is not a problem for me with time on my hands and not so good hearing, but so far it has produced excellent print offs. The next test will be when I start printing photos, both black and white and colour. The 5 ink cartridge system is one I like, often one colour/black one will empty before the rest, and to replace an individual one seems far more economic than replacing a single cartridge for all. The supplied cartridges are not the teeny tiny one drop of ink ones either, having lasted longer than expected. Hey, I think I like it.

Printer
After a long, over complex initial setup time it does work very well. It was quicker to connect my laptop but desktop took ages. Good quality printing, quiet and fast.
