Okay for a child to read.
There really is nothing in this book that an adult shouldn't know!My nine year old is reading this and as it's written in a very simple format, she is able to use it to reinforce the basic principles of eating for sport. If as an adult you believe that "eating donuts for breakfast" is a good start to the day for a child, then this may be the book for you.

Recipes not great for kids under 14
The book is very technical, making it not great for kids under 12. The recipes are generally not super kid friendly. My kids are not too picky, but recipes like mediterranean lentil sweet potatoe stew and salmon and avocado bowls are probably not going to fly with my kids. I think this book is geared toward teens more than kids under12.

Great information!
I bought a couple of books to help my teenager eat better for his soccer training, this is the only one I found helpful and easy to understand. We read it together and we both learned a great deal!
