Can anyone who used the bare display tell me the mounting hole spacing and dimensions? Thanks

The bare display has no mounting holes. The manufacturer just stuck it to the plastic bezel, and used a sticky pad to stick the PCB to the display. The bare display is 76x63.5mm and the viewing dimensions are 74x55mm. I haven't measured it, but I think it's about 2mm tall.

I originally asked about a strong suction mount to hold this on windshield. Don't want the monitor on the dash. Sticky that came with it did not stick for long. I tried a two part epoxy and it lasted a few weeks only to fail again when attaching to the windshield. I am attaching it to the top of the inside windshield and the problem I believe I am having is the windshield has the stock sun blocking black "dots" in that location. I believe that's why it is not sticking with certain glues/rear view mirror adhesive. I went to Home Depot today and picked up 20lb all weather 3M double sided tape. If this doesn't work my last route is liquid nails. A helpful hint; remove the double sided tape that comes with it all together. That was not much help and nothing would stick to it. I would love to know what they use to hold the EZpass Velcro to the windshields. Those never fall off and the transponders weigh about the same as the screen. Good Luck!

How do I get this to turn on (without wiring to the car). I just plugged it into a 12V ac/dc adapter that I know works. I don't see any signs of lif

Make sure ur AC Adaptor or Battery can Supply 12 volts and at least 400 Miliamps and u hav an Active Video signal Transmitting to the monitor. the monitor automatically shuts down all circuits cept the video processor to save power wen no video is present but wen a video signal is detected the monitor will turn on the Screen. this is a nice feature as i plan to use it as a remote Viewfinder for my Camera. Note on powered camera, all cameras r powered wen working and the Rear view cameras DO Not supply power thru their video outputs On the stripped end of the Power line the red wire is Positive

can i connect the av cabels to a video games system and have the image appare on the monitore

It should, because most video games consoles have a composite video output somewhere on them. Just look for a yellow RCA jack that is labeled as "video out" or "video output", then jumper this output using an AV Cable to the yellow jack on the monitor and it should work. FYI: 3.5 inch monitor is really small and I don't think you'll be able to see much unless you are just using it for troubleshooting or etc. The very smallest monitor I see being able to be used on a game console would be no less than 7 inch and even then there wouldn't be much detail available, but you can do what you want to.
