Q: So i understand it opens in the am and closes inthe pm. but does it stay open all day? i don't want the chickens in the coop during the day .

Hello. I am not finished with my coop condo but have placed the Chicken Run door. I have not enabled the wifi and re programmed yet as i am not finished but the door is opening and closing with the default program which is: opens at sun up and closes at sundown. you can manually open and close by pressing button on unit. It will stay open while sunlight is out. Roger.

Q: can an a possum or raccoon push door up because aluminum is so light?

It's possible but very unlikely a possum or coon could push the door up. It's very difficult to manually open the door due to the resistance of the motor. We have a lot of possums and coons in our area and one has never opened the door. We tried several automatic door openers and this has been the most effective and reliable.

Q: What's the dimensions of the hole? I already had a hole on the wall, I hope is not too big.
