Very, very handy device Iโm glad I purchased it
This is the most ideal receipt scanner ever and it lets you store wherever you want. I wasnโt required to get a subscription. This is a very nice electrical device.

Read before buying
This is a good scanner. I didn't know that I had to purchase a company to keep receipts for taxes. I just wanted to scan them into a file on my own laptop. Oh well... live and learn. I would've returned it but for whatever reason, hubby wanted to keep it. Haven't used it but 2 times. A waste of money.

Very easy to use
I do not like computers. I was able to install and use this device within five minutes. It was very quick to learn the basics and save all my receipts to my computer with ease. Iโm sure it can do a lot more than I need it to - but I am satisfied. Great value for the money to have your books in order. Excellent quality of scans and easy to read. Have used for two months so far and hope it continues to perform as it has so far.

Would find better quality on Temu..
Absolutely awful. The setup is completely impossible and will not read wifi and will not read while plugged in with a cable. I spent hours upon hours installing and reinstalling drivers, and after days and weeks of frustration and walking away from it until I could mentally battle it again, I see I have passed my return timeframe, so now I have this $200+ mass produced platic paperweight. I like to think that the small cable that came with this is worth more than this hunk of garbage. Keeps me from feeling the anger all over again. IF it could be setup then maybe it would be worth it, but why waste hours of your life you will never get back when you can just buy another brand that works.

No software available for MacOS 11, but installing the version for 10.15 seems to work ok.
I was initially very disappointed when I received the unit because I have a relatively new MacBook Pro with MacOS Big Sur (11.4) installed and when I went to the Epson website to install the software basically what I got was "we're working on it". UNACCEPTABLE! I almost sent it back. Big Sur HAS been around for quite a while. Then I started looking around on the web and saw lots of complaints from folks about upgrading to Big Sur breaking their Epson software - stuff stopped working. Further investigations revealed that in some cases if the software was completely de-installed and then re-installed, things would start working again. So, I figured, what the heck. I downloaded the software for MacOS 10.15 and it installed without complaint and seems to run without any issues - SO FAR. Who knows if the next minor OS revision will break things? This isn't the first time I have had issues with timely Epson software support for Mac machines. I thought long and hard before purchasing this unit just for this very reason. I gave it the four star rating because I am very happy with the size, features and performance of the unit. I just HOPE that I won't get an unpleasant surprise someday soon, and not performing software updates is not an option for me.

Easy to Use, Quality Scan
It was a little pricey but I'm really getting a lot of use out of it! We have a printer scan's, have had it for years, but we have yet to figure out the scanning piece. This was quick and simple to set up and easy to use. Love it! I'd buy it again!

Good experience for my first receipt scanner.
First time using a dedicated receipt scanner. I have liked it so far and it has worked well. I haven't used the wireless function because I travel so setting up the wi fi each time seems like a hassle. I would like a version that stored the receipts internally or on an SD card so I wouldn't need the laptop every time. Also, I'm going to make an angled base because I usually set the scanner on the edge of the desk/table almost right in front of the laptop and sometimes the receipts catch on the laptop and are scanned crooked.

Doesn't work with USB-C or mesh wifi networks
I was really disappointed with this Epson scanner. The first thing I noticed was that the cord had a USB-A plug. My MacBook Pro has only USB-C ports, and so I plugged their cord into a USB-C adapter dongle. I could not get the computer to recognize the device at all. The instructions and troubleshooting articles say to use the original cord, but in this case that was not possible. I think the dongle caused the communication error. I also spent extra to get the RR-70W scanner to have the flexibility to use via WiFi. The scanner requires a dedicated 2.4Ghz WiFi network. My Linksys mesh network has a hybrid 2.4/5.0 Ghz network, with most devices (including all my smart home automation devices) automatically detecting whichever network they need. But this scanner requires that you have a DEDICATED 2.4 Ghz network. I cannot set that up on my Linksys mesh router -- and even if I did, that means I would have to run my computer on that same slower 2.4 Ghz network in order to connect wirelessly to the scanner. That seems dumb. So if you have a computer with only USB-C ports and have a "modern" mesh WiFi network, then this is not the device for you. I really wanted to use this receipt scanner, in part because I was attracted by the good reviews of Epson's receipt OCR and management software. But, unfortunately, this scanner is saddled with old tech. I hope they make a newer model with a native USB-C cable.

Works great !
Fast digitizing. The only problem, well documented in the manual, is that to set it up via WiFi, the Wifi MUST be running 2.5GHz. If you have a wifi router set up only at 5GHz, the pairing won't work. Once the pairing is done, instruction said that it will keep working at higher speeds. I woudn't know, I still use USB cable. The PDF OCR is amazing, it easily recognises dates, amounts, taxes, etc. I'm very satisfied by this thing. And take note: it's muich smaller than the image let you think. It's super easy to carry in a laptop case.

Easy setup
This is a great product. I do like Epson products. Now that my new accountant has set me up with QB cloud this will save me lots of work. Using this in a business environment. So far this has worked flawlessly. Bought a case for it as well so it can travel with me. This is only a scanner , not a printer.
