The best fume extractor I’ve ever used
I used to solder the old-fashioned way with the smoke getting right into my face. This is a game changer.

Very Powerful fan, but difficult filter
I love how powerful this thing is compared to the noise. For the amount of solder smoke to its noise level is perfect. Its not quite, but its not as loud as my HVAC unit in the next room. If its on a wobbly piece of furniture it will get louder, but I think thats normal. A heavy lab bench works..I would of given it 5 stars if not for the difficulty of changing filters. You have to carefully take out the shallow screws securing the bottom plate. Then free it by removing the fan blade cover from the back. The mains wires are crimped very cleanly. The screws securing the plate are very shallow and you will need to be very gentle not to strip them..The green ground wire is very secure to the frame of the fan. A loose wire will trigger your gfci should the unlikely event happen. If you don't enjoy changing filters then you might want a different unit that slides the filter in and out with no need for screws like this does. However, for the price I am very satisfied with it.

Missing one important part
Item is missing the power cord. I can't use it if I can't power it on. Everything else came as described. I found the power cord and it works really good 5 stars 🌟

Works wonderful
Sucks the fumes out of my face and overall I think it gets rid of most of the bad stuff.Would probably be a good idea to pair this with another extractor that has the elbow suction thing so you can get some duel extraction going however for a small quick job I’m fine with just this

Has enough to draw to keep your work area. Smoke free.
I often sit at my kitchen table to do my pyrography projects. This sucks to smoke and the smell quickly while I burn my wood. The wife is happy because she can’t smell the burning wood and I’m happy because it keeps the smoke out of my face.

Air filter for soldering stained glass
You would think this little unit wouldn't do much but it does. Remember to clean the filter periodically. Built well for soldering in small space.

Works, but expensive.
For what it is, it works well. Its an all metal frame with a strong enough fan, that pulls the fumes through the filter that at the very least keeps the stink away, but I would still leave a window open or something of that fashion to take care of other possibly volatile fumes. The big reason why its not five stars is that its too expensive for what it is in my opinion, though it dose work, its just a fan in a metal box with a cheap filter.
