Used for resin and worked well, non-variable temperature though
Note - I did not use these for seed germination yet. I used one for resin crafting - the other will be used for seed starting when it's not 5000 degrees outside here in Florida. The heat level is consistent, but not variable. There are no switches or knobs to adjust the base setting. It plugs into a standard outlet. The mat itself is a smooth matte vinyl, so I did cover it with parchment paper before I used it for resin in order to avoid making a huge mess. It really helped remove the stubborn bubbles in my resin dice. There is a warning that this, like most electronics, should not be submerged or exposed to standing water for a long period of time. Make sure you are using something with drainage holes OR have your seedlings otherwise contained so the water doesn't get on the mat.Anything that does spill wipes off quickly. This is about the size of a large desk mat and is relatively thin and non-obtrusive. The cord does not have a swivel head, so placement is important if you need things to stay level. It would be a great modification if they made these with a rotating/swivel outlet plug, but alas. The vinyl seems sturdy enough, but I do foresee it cracking down the line. Just be careful and avoid water intrusion.

perfect for indoors
makes a huge difference indoors. we keep our house about 68 in the winter, these top that heat off perfectly. i took a second mat and placed it on top of my well watered peppers for 48 hours and they germinated right away after this. as soon as they germinate i move them onto a sunny window shelf and new planted seeds take the heat mat. currently have about 130 geraniums, peppers, cucumbers and tomatoes in 3 windows and all doing well. and just so you know, they barely get hot, probably not for outdoor greenhouses unless they're heated a bit. these worked wonders in my cool home in the winter.

Great value and works well.
I decided to venture into starting my own vegetable and wildflower plants. These heat mats were a great value and have worked a charm!

Good but has major cold spots
I would give them a 3.5 star if I could. Sure, the mats do warm up but the heat isn't spread through the whole mat so there are definite cold spots. This becomes a problem when the room is colder as the full tray isn't warming up enough to create germination. I'm well aware that I got what I paid for. I will be keeping them but they definitely lack. If you're growing in a cooler room, these may not be the ones for you.

Great product, great price
These heat mats really sped up my germination time and I've been cranking out plants like crazy these last few weeks. Simple use just plug in and set your seed start flats or pots on top. Absolutely love the quick germination chart as well so I don't have to keep googling for germination times for different plants.

Needed these.
Warming mats help my into starts germinate faster. The cords are super long to place them where you need it to go. It isn’t hot to the touch. Gentle heat about 75-85 degrees. The material is very thick. Great price.

Great for seed starting
I bought 2 of these for seed starting this year and I'm going to order more for next year. It's a great way to get a jumpstart on the garden.

Warming Plant Pad
Well, I have not yet used this particular product, but I can say I did order this product as my neighbor did allow me to use her warming pad to start my seedlings this past spring. It worked very well, so I ordered several for myself for this winter/spring!Why did you pick this product vs others?:I used my neighbor's same product earlier this year. It was a success!
