Will this work against wasp and yellow jackets

I wouldn’t think so, you prob would need to be wearing netting or very thick clothes to avoid being stung. If you are going to spray them with this, I would say yes, this would kill them. But you would have to be very close and use a lot. I would suggest a diy mixture or a can of wasp spray.

will this work to prevent bed bug bites?

Can’t say for sure, but I would not count on it unless you literally soaked yourself in it, which in turn isn’t advisable. If it’s just for a night or two then it may be worth a shot, but if it’s something in your home, I think it’s a VERY temp fix at absolute best.

Does this have a expiration? Is it usually a year or two?

I'm nOt sure ,read the label. I'm quite sure Amazon would send out an expired product . And if it happened they a great and fast about return policy.

Can one use this to prevent ticks from getting to your scalp? One can’t spray it in the hair, right?

You shouldn't spray it directly in your hair or on your face; however, it is ok to spray it on your hands and rub it on your face and hair. (On a side note, I have used BUFF with insect shield to cover my hair when hiking. It works great; they are expensive, but worth the $$.) Not one bite using Deet 100 this summer hiking.
