Royal Heritage Home Williamsburg William and Mary Matelasse Queen Bedspread, Bone

I really like this bedspread. I don't like comforters. It is almost impossible to find a decent bedspread that isn't too short or small for a king bed. Or that isn't 50 different patterns on one comforter with 50 different colors. I don't know what the designers are thinking. I have a low profile king and the spread is plenty big. The fabric is soft and nice to the touch and a good color. My only complaint is the weight. It feels heavy when you try to move it.

very nice spread, beautiful color! nice weight. warm but light. good for year round use. only 4 stars due to price however it was the best price I could find for the same kind of spread.Just so you know the color faded in one large spot. I tried to use dye to fill it in, but the spot is still there. Big disappointment as only washed twice and no clue how the spot got there in the first place.

These William and Mary spreads are attractive and durable without seeming heavy or cheap. I have purchased them before, but without the savings Amazon offers. The product is superior to many matelasse alternatives; we are more than satisfied.

I had an older version of this in a off white color for 9 years. It was a coverlet and I got tired of the shams and bed skirts. I have a queen bed, but bought this as a full spread. I do not like the spread to drag on the floor on the sides and getting the smaller size covers all the mattress but leaves space for to vacuum under the bed. I have a footboard so there is still some drape at the foot corners which looks fine. The color is subtle but still lively. Not as bright as in the picture which is exactly what I wanted. I got a sample from the Williamsburg Marketplace first, but bought here since the price was much lower.

This is a replacement for an almost exact bedspread; matelasse, white , 100% cotton, appr. same price. It is not of the quality I'd expected from the picture--actually doesn't seem to be 100% cotton, even--and doesn't have the "hand" or intricacy of design of its predecessor. Beyond that, the body of the spread is not cut on the straight grain, or it's just not woven on a square loom, maybe. I'm very disappointed in this item but will keep it since it's the only one I've been able to locate in white. But really not happy with the quality .

I have had quite a few compliments on this king spread; we will keep this forever. Very comfortable, enduring and looks great all the time. It has been a perfect weight for year-round use. In winter we add a blanket(s) underneath. The sides drop and shape havn't shrank or changed when laundered. It is heavy when wet: I have to ask my husband to get it out of the washer and put in dryer. Well worth buying if you want this look.

The quality of this bedspread is good. The color was a little bit disappointing because it's not white. It's a brilliant white so much so it almost has a Hugh of blue in it. So it doesn't match my pillow shams but I'm going to go ahead and keep it because it's super nice.

This bedspread is larger than the usual sizes for queen beds, use full size for queens. The fabric is very good, somewhat elastic, but easily smoothed. Fits over pillows rather than using shams. Very warm and somewhat heavy, good for cool bedrooms.
