The chosen ones is the second book in the world quake series. It is about a girl called Euphemia truelove (also know as Effie) and her friends who have to stop a secret organisation called the Diberi who plan to take over the universe! This time there is a plot with Albion Freake and Skylurian Midzar, whilst Effie and Maximillian disappear!I would recommend this book to both kids and parents of any age if you like Harry Potter I would definitely recommend this book to you. I read it in two days because it was so good (my daughter, 9 years).

having read the 1st book I had to buy the second instalment. was a really good plot line though i did feel a little confused with with the characters at times. I cant wait for the next one in the series.

I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put it down. The world is amazing, characters you really get attached to, and a page-turning plot. Right up there with Harry Potter for me (I'm an adult reader). Can't wait for the next book to come out, and to share this (after Dragon's Green of course) with my children
