I am confused. I would think you would use the deck cleaner then the deck wax at the start of the season then the cleaner each weak. after ?

That is correct, you would apply the Non-Skid Deck Wax directly after cleaning the deck. You can do this at the start of the season and re-apply as needed. Non-Skid Deck Cleaner will not remove Non-Skid Deck Wax.

Question 2

Does it need to be wiped off after it dries, like car wax? Or do I spray it on and just leave it after it dries?

Accepted Answer

For best results, apply to surfaces that are cool to the touch and clean. If deck is dirty, use Star brite Non-Skid Deck Cleaner as Step 1. Spray Non-Skid Deck Wax onto surface to be treated, spreading evenly with a cotton cloth, microfiber cloth or Star brite Reggae Mitt to ensure uniform coverage. Wipe up excess with a clean, dry cloth or Reggae Mitt. Use as often as needed.

Question 3

Does this make non-skid slippery when it gets wet? I see mention some say it gets slippery. Is that the case?

It can if you don't do the "wax off" adequately.  So be sure to buff off the excess.  The goal isn't to make the non-skid glossy, it's to remove the excess product.  Buffing does not make the non-skid glossy in my experience but I have always done this by hand not with a power buffer since I didn't want to wear down the non-skid.  I now also use their non-skid cleaner on the whole boat to keep the gel coat treated with the barrier component.

Question 4

Confused...is this product for a boat deck or like a wooden, back yard,  bbq type deck?

It is most commonly used on fiberglass boat decks but it could be used on any decking surface.
