Would you recommend this for basing miniatures?

It goes on wet and just like mud when dry has the same texture as dry soil

Can you use this to paint on cloth?

I suppose if you build it up enough on cloth it will dry but I bet it would break up if the cloth isn’t kept flat. It dries great with texture and even looks wet on plastic
