I'm 5' 9" and 210 lbs. and ordered a large. What arrived looked like it was for a child as it came to the bottom of my breastbone and the top hem, front and back, stuck out enough to drop a softball through. I could not get this ill fitting garment comfortable no matter how much I tried even with just a T-shirt on. I returned it.

I am always so stunned to see people running in the dark on the side of the road with zero reflective clothing. They are seriously playing Russian Roulette with their life and it is so unnecessary! This vest is adjustable so I can wear it year round either with or without a jacket. It also comes with a handy pocket to put my phone and keys in which is a really great option. The quality of this vest is good and it is extremely lightweight and comfortable to wear - not cumbersome at all. I like the adjustable bands as well and can either wear them or put them on my mountain bike while riding single track where it can be hard to see because of all the shade. I believe it's better to be safe than sorry. The most important thing when biking or running at dusk/night is to be seen. The combination of using this vest and safety lights increase your odds of returning home safe. This vest is the answer to your safety prayers. Firefly got this one right! The vest is highly reflective and comfortable. You won't even know you have it on. I bought a large vest. The size is slightly tighter than I would like.
