1/4X12X12 BIRCH PLYWOOD

Great wood for lasercutting work. Ships very fast too. Good quality and consistent thickness.Editing to say that you should make sure you are ordering from KenCraft Co!! My latest order came from Woodnshop and the wood quality was SIGNIFICANTLY crappy. Every sheet had a 'patch' and some of the patches were offset leaving open gaps. The plywood felt rougher and had more inconsistencies throughout the inner layers causing me trouble with my lasercutter not cutting all the way through when it hit a rough patch. I'm definitely not making that mistake again. Right now if you go to guy the item, its defaulting to the Woodnshop one because they're charging a couple bucks less, but make sure you switch to the KenCraft Co one because it's MUCH better quality.

These are great quality and work well for the displays I'm making. I stain them and they take the color well so they are definitely unfinished. I add some conditioning oil beforehand to make the stain go on more consistently. You do need to check to be sure which side is the front because one side will be darker and will have some cutout marks in it. I'm not sure what those are for, but these wouldn't work well for something that is two-sided. The marks are huge, but they do show up. I'll try to get some photos up soon. Overall, these are nice and the edges are fairly clean although some did require sanding and the veneer is chipped a bit in places. They are a good thickness so they feel sturdy and I don't think they'll warp over time. I have glued things on them and even put in some heavy duty tacks and they work well with both, although you can't hammer or screw into them easily. It's a bit odd getting things through the two layers. I use some heavy-duty upholstery tacks in these and as long as I hammer them in softly, they work well and don't splinter. It was worth the price to get these already cut to size because I bought a larger piece of similar wood and unless you have the perfect saw blade, it will splinter when you try to cut it. I will probably be buying more of these.

Sadly, not one sheet was 12"x12". Some were as much is 1/4" off per side.

Fantastic bargain for a wonderful product. I received 24 1ft squares in my shipment. I thought I was only supposed to get 12. The wood is ideal for so many projects such as inserts to hold a router or circular saw in a table. I also find them ideal to mount photographs on as the plywood is lightweight and completely flat. The outside birch veneer is beautiful on one side with possible patches on the backside. I highly recommend this vendor and the product.

Smooth and uniform, these panels are perfect for my scroll saw. They cut cleanly, without peeling the outer veneer and do not splinter.
