Much more control using these pencils with my watercolour brushes than using the paints, nice colours as well

As a newcomer to watercolours after 7 years of acrylic on canvas, I'm thrilled with the watercolour pencils, which open the way and get around some of the bigger challenges of this medium. One doesn't feel quite so helpless and there is more control, yet still a lovely watercolour appearance. I use my top quality intense tube watercolours with the pencils, gradually finding my method. I also bought the Derwent water-brushes, which are a great help because the brush is never over-loaded with water or colour. They work like magic with the watercolour pencils. Both highly recommended!
